Sounds like signal loss on those frequencies. Splitters, bad wires, low signal from the tap, etc can cause signal loss. Demand a "hot drop" straight from the tap to the box. If problem still occurs, then the problem is at the tap. Run the same "hot drop" from the back of the ground block, etc, narrowing down the culprit. Sometimes its a combination. When everyone is home watching tv, it can bring down the...

Question

Yes, it has to do with the HDCP having to renegotiate a handshake. The easiest way to resolve this is to use component video connections (the same HD quality picture) then either optical/coaxial digital or analog audio connection(s).

Usually you would connect the cable from the wall to the TVs Ant/Cable coax input on the back of the TV. Once you've done that go into the TV configuration screens and make sure you select cable versus antenna (maybe called Air). What is the exact model Sharp that you have? Have you read the manual for help? See page 14 of this example from a Sharp TV. http://www.sharpusa.com...

Cable cards have not come to fruition for a number of factors. First is that they supply no dvr function and secondly is that they fail at vod. The third reason, left open for discussion, is that they don't supply the cable co's with the same monthly revenue that the set top box does. Cable co's have seemingly moved away from customer satisfaction and more towards revenue generation.

wait until you try to install it. This should be the test. In the past they actually required a tech to sit on the phone and wait for full provisioning. And thats when it was done right. GL

Welcome to High Def Forum. I do not understand why you would say lower band channels. You know for sure? Analog is fairly low down there. You checked diagnostics on your box? Comcast tech has never told me anything so technical. Did someone tell you? I would like to know more. I sincerely wish that I could help you. Sounds like something only Comcast will fix. You may have to bug them ...
