Here is a Nugget for ya...Avatar now sits at the Number 2 spot alltime for a Tuesday non opening day release with $16.086 mil right behind The Dark Knight with $20.860 mil BUT Avatar opened on only 3452 Theaters vs 4366 for the Dark Knight and the both had comperable Per Screen Averages $ wise. Although More 3D viewings and Imax for Avatar so the inflated ticket price may play a role in the totals...Just a little interesting TidBit...And yes...

I have been slowly starting the countdown since I first heard of this flick. Trailer made it even more harder to wait for its release. Hope it lives up to all the hype. I think it will.

With no existing fanbase, I doubt it'll start at 120 million. This is an entirely 'original' property so I'm going to go conservatively with about 65-70 million. I don't think Avatar will be dependent on opening weekend, as opposed to subsequent weeks
