Ya, and today you can get a Blu-ray player for less than $80. * By the way, good choice on the Panny BD60.

you have two options. The $300 dollar model is 120GB and the slightly more expensive bundle is 250GB.

One thought I've had about this player that I didn't incorporate into the review is the fear of theft. In the past month there's been a rash of burglaries in my town (luckily they caught the band of crooks late last week), anyway, when hooked up with an HDMI, Ethernet, and power cable, it would take about 3 seconds to snatch this player out of my rack. The power cord would be easily replaced for the crook, but imagine having...

How would you rate the build quality, or which players could you compare it to? Any of the previous HD players? They all had nice build quality. also how's SD DVD upconversion? I really do wanna get this player, but I'm waiting for reviews, and a further price drop. right now on amazon its at $150 or so. I already own some 3 Blu players, but I would also like to own Sony's newest.. right now I'm stuck deciding this, or a...

Too bad the Oppo can't be available to customers on Black Friday. I'd take that thing over any other standalone. Already have 6 players now, geez. what a waste of money. Oppo is used more than my PS3 now. The picture quality IS better & there are a ton of cool features + easy firmware USB stick. Thats a HUGE positive because AVERAGE JOE people are not buying into the BD format Other than cost being #1, second came in for...

the lg390 is the big streaming player. it has received amazing reviews, but I have yet to read whether users that have had a Panny bd-60 think the bd picture is better, worse, or the same. It can do Netflix, Yahoo, Vudu, and other streaming stuff. I think it is the only player on the market that can do all of these. If I could get verification that people think its audio and video are ...

What do you mean by "died"? YLOD? Blu-Ray drive gave out? You can get some of these issues repaired for $50-75. Might want to do that first vs buying a new PS3 or even another BD player.

For the price, I'd probably go with the Panasonic BD-60. Fairly cheap right now and is a good all around player. Of course, I agree that another PS3 wouldn't be a bad thing

I love this quote and how direct he is. Its so true “We may be a very small company, but where we are different from the likes of Denon and Sony is that we listen to our customers. Feedback is really important.” lol...as apposed to our competition we actually listen to our customers. Imagine that! Genius, pure genius.
