With Bamba going to be missing a fair chunk of January... and no real strength in depth at centre half it's fairly obvious Yogi will be targeting a central defender when the January window opens... Does anybody have any background info on this player ?

He scores goals against Yams, Germany, Wales (who tanked us 3-0 a week ago) Was scoring 1 in every 2 for Malmo before Mixu signed him. Yeah, but I'm talking single fish that we could have kept him on until January. I will be watching what he does at St J with interest from now on. He was a bit injury prone, but then so is every other player.

It's fine, commentary is no more impenetrable than Paul Mitchell's on BBC Scotland. I like the way they Gaelicise the players' names - Colin Nish, for example, becomes Callum Nish, and John Rankin - wait for it - becomes Ian Rankin. We wish.

I don't think so. JJ showed hee haw at Hibs and was a waste of wages. Riordan, Stokes, Benji, Nish and Byrne would all have been ahead of JJ and rightfully so. Some will say Stokes has hardly set the heather on fire, but he's young and has bags of potential, and will come good. JJ was past it. Beuzelin likewise. I agree that the midfield is probably too reliant on McBride and Miller. Rankin ...

I am no tactical genious but Derek Riordan is our numero uno. He likes playing central and I'd put him there in the hole where Benji has been playing. Derek plays well with Stokes and they should play nearer each other. An understanding is developing there.Whether AS is on left or right doesnt matter Benji a bit further forward if you must. Nishy..back to school for offside lessons. ...

We were poor going forward. Little by way of invention or creativity, Deeks goal apart. For me the problem stems from midfield and the lack of guile to provide a pass or opening for the forwards. Benji and Stokes just don't create they might latch onto opportunities but don't make things happen and they don't play as a partnership. Miller was good but needs help. Wotherspoon did well going...
