I had one customer that had a 105,000lb Taylor and some knucklehead told them that the 105 was the same as the 120. Well they decided to add counterweight to it so they could do a job a little faster. The problem was that the 105 had no place to add counterweight in the back because of radiator air...

Low sulfur fuel affects on engines?

Here's a thread from back in August about diesel additive. There's a link to a study in the first post. Rather interesting study. Thought it might be relevant to your thread speedpup. http://www.heavyequipmentforums.com/...=fuel+additive

I would walk down to it pull out my truck and leave a note. If you did no damage and left the note with an address and phone number and why you had to use it I don't think it would be a big deal but that has a lot to do with personalities. The owner might call you back and say Hope your alright thanks for the note then you could offer to pay for the fuel and buy him dinner or the cops could show ...

getting involved is easy sign on the dotted line. Possible bond for the fringes. Where and what type of work are you doing?

What will discourage an employer is an applicant that has not worked anywhere for more than a few months at a time. Like it or not, your age is showing in your constant bouncing from job to job and idea to idea. Put a plan for your future together and stick to it, I know I wouldn't seriously consider anyone who appears to be a drifter for employment.

Good question. When someone raises this and says its necessary, I kind of panic because I never add anything. Then I forget about it and things keep on running.
I did ask the fuel truck driver that delivers bulk fuel about this. For what it's worth, his opinion is that one does not need to add anything - that the refineries add everything that's needed.
I'd like to see a ...

It all depends if contractors are bidding or buying work..
If the companies are really hungry for work then expect some low bids...
I've worked on 2 different 150 mile water lines.... each took about 2 years to complete... one was bought.... they left 7 million dollars on the table.... The closest bidder to them was 13 million... I talked to several foremans from that company they said no ...

Looks like an H60C or an H80C (6000 or 8000 lb cap.) to me. Raise the hood and look along the top of the frame for the serial number. Should be an alpha numeric such as D6D1234, with that I can tell the year. Does it have a 6 cylinder flat head Continental engine? The valve that you are showing is a 2 speed valve, it combines the flow from the top of the cylinder with the in flow from the pump to...
