Both Cardio helps burn fat you need to burn fat to show the muscles. To gain muscle you must do a little weight lifting. If you want to have a good balance do a work out in the morning before you eat, cardio for 15-30 min then weights (start off light) and crunches or what ever you like to do, then another 15-30 min cardio! do this a few days a week. the more the better but dont over do it....
