Olga, thanks for your response. I have been hoping I could avoid knee replacement but the pain is bad. I am aprehensive about
general anesthetic and blod clots. I believe the surgery can be done with a block. I should just make an appt. to talk about it. .

I wear "Dr. Comfort" shoes. These have been the best for me. They can be purchased on line but I buy them through my
podiatrist. He told me that the shoes are covered under Medicare for diabetics. I'm guessing that he would have to write a script for them. Ann .

My request for the infusion 'Rituxan", which was taken away from me after 5 years, has just been reinstated. It's the only drug that ever helped me. I used to get the infusions every 3 months, but Medicare will now only pay for twice a year.
Better than nothing. It's very, very expensive. Ida >>>>>>>>>>>>> I'm happy that you will have some relief. As for the near future...who knows ...

Olga, you're right on about vitamin D deficiency in RA patients. I've had RA for almost 50 years and am down to one drug...Arava. Most of the side effects were too much for me. I live with my deformities, flares, and limitations. Burning hands/feet would cause me to look for medical help. Good luck...hope you soon feel better,
Ida. Ann ....
