Hi Namibia Good to hear from you. It sounds like you have been really busy. How is your DD doing? Better I hope. Glad to hear your little one is doing well. Sorry to hear about the nausea. I hope it clears up soon. Keep us posted on how you're doing!!! Take care!

other children and new arrivals...

Just a quick question. Will get into detail when I have more time. How have your older children accepted (or not) the fact you are having another baby? We've got some real issues with our 12 yr old girl....she's NOT happy about the baby brother at all! How can I help her to accept him, not be so negative, and look at the brighter side? Our 8 yr old is okay and even excited about it. But, the 12 yr old is a different story. Any...

Oh my! Just found out!

So I just wanted to drop in and say that I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. My boyfriend and I already have a 2 year old son, and we weren't really trying, but we weren't not trying to either... does that make sense? Anyway, I'm excited and scared! By my LMP I should be due 7/17/10 - which is almost 3 years to the date of when my son was born! So that's kinda exciting! Anyway, just glad to be a part of the board...

dyeing hair... ?
Published (2009-11-07 12:10:00)
I've read so many differing views on dyeing hair while pregnant. We've been programed to basically think.. DYEING YOUR HAIR WILL KILL YOUR BABY.. okay.. so maybe not that extreme.. haha. But you get the point. However, according to my research I've noticed that there haven't been any inclusive results from studies stating it can harm the child? Only that it is possible. Also that getting highlights would be less risky then...

Hi mmmcoffee....that is such a cool story. I'm sure your pregnancy will go nice and smooth, especially if you didn't even realize you were pregnant. I wish I could have skipped the first trimester. We're all different, but I just sleep on my side. I put a pillow between my legs so I don't stretch my hips to much. That works for me. Oh ya and an update on the gestational diabetes - I don't have it! It was because I had...

4 a.m. Nausea, Please Help

5 hours after my initial post I have started some light but bright red spotting. My period still isn't supposed to start until day after tomorrow. Do I need to contact my doctor?

They said it is "hospital policy" that they won't schedule an induction or c-section before the 39th week for any reason (unless your high risk and a perinatologist advises so). Of course if I go into labor early, that would be a different story too. I have made my appointment with the high-risk doctor on Monday. They are going to do an ultrasound and a consultation. They said it could take upto 2 hours! Don't know...

Hi Ladies, Sorry I have been MIA, it was my DD birthday last week so I have been busy baking and organising parties etc. She also had tonsillitis and an ear infection with a fever of 102, so it was a very hectic week for me. I had an u/s on Thurs and all is well baby is growing nicely and it very active already. It was so nice to hear the heartbeat again. I have my next appointment 3 Dec. I am still suffering nausea and I hope it goes away...

12yrs is going on pre teen so they horomones are kicking in along with the mood swings & attitudes.
maybe it might also be worth just letting it not bother you & maybe she will come around after the baby is born?
did you ask her why shes not happy about it?

my only craving during my twin pregnancy was mcdonalds hamburgers, I ate one at least 4-5 times per week, I would have ice cream once in a while and I always took my prenatal vitamins. My girls came out 1 month early extremely healthy and based on their last well-baby check up they are ahead for their age in fine and gross motor development and talking by about 6 months. I think everything in ...

RBettis -- how have you been feeling? Did all of your symptoms go away? And your DD?
I am still nervous to get the shot, but I think that I am going to get it on Friday.
We are getting close ladies. I can't believe it! I feel like it will be here before we know it.

First off Congrats, I bet that was a huge surprise.
Invest in a body pillow, I swear by mine. That is the only way Ive ever been able to sleep with any of my pregnancies.

Wow, I feel for you. That's a pretty sticky situation. Obviously, we can't tell you what to do, only you can deceide that.. but I'll bring up some crutial points that I hope will help you out.
Not continuing with the pregnancy is a huge deal. That's something that you will have over your head for the rest of your life. So if you have ANY doubts about this.. DO NOT do it. You have to be 110% ...

My OB said that you will know when it is bad. He said if you wake up and your heart is racing or if you feel naseaus, then you need to change positions. This is when you are cutting off the main artery to the uterus. I still sometimes find myself waking up somewhat on my back. I have now put a pillow behind me so that when I do roll over to my back, I'm propped up somewhat ...
