C-DIFF how long does it take?
Published (2009-11-28 17:01:00)
I'm not sure but the US CDC website says 10 days . . . "C. difficile is generally treated for 10 days with antibiotics prescribed by your healthcare provider. The drugs are effective and appear to have few side-effects." http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dhqp/id_CdiffFAQ_general.html

Well i don't know much about all those treatments, but i can say DO NOT wash daily, those oils are there to help protect the scalp and roots, and washing so often may have just sent it into overdrive, try every other day for a while and see what happens.

Drew, any possibility that you could have an Environmental Illness/Allergy-related problem. There are plastics (Phthalates), petroleum products and many other recognized health hazards that might be, at least, partially responsible for your misery.

Hello! I tried many hair treatments. Mask, steam, detoxide with O2 - only control the oil for 3 to 5 days. During the treatments hair continue to drop. This treatment is supposed to unclog the hardened oil at the roots. Under the microscope, I can see the pores getting cleaner. But...after 6 treatments, almost once a week, the problem came back when I stop. I tried scrub, mask, steam treatment - again, it was a short term solution only. I...

Maybe Hereditary Angioedema? It usually starts in childhood or early adulthood. Did he have bouts with abdominal pain/distress as a child?
Hopefully it's a fluke and won't happen a third time, but see a ENT doc (if you haven't already) in any case to rule out more serious disorders.

I am not a medical professional, but it certainly sounds like migraine symptoms to me. If you research migraine symptoms......you've got them all. Perhaps you should try to seek treatment from a doctor who specializes in headaches. I wish you well.

You're not going to like my answer but I think you could benefit from seeing a therapist. Out of control anger with no reason for it is a problem and they deal with emotions that are out of control.
Think of therapy this way....you've just walked into a completely dark room full of overturned furniture. You can spend a lot of time fumbling around feeling the pieces and trying to put the room...

sorry about your fall, that had to be pretty awful at best. if i were you, mostly becasue of what really sounds like some pretty direct and profound type of swelling there in that lower left back(the "flank'), get to at least an ER for a good ultrasound of that kidney on that side and at least a CT of that whole area in the 'injury'. its just the location where you are describing the swelling ...

You don't say your age but I would get checked out by a neurologist and have an MRI done to see if there's anything going on in your head that could be causing pressure on your eyes. They can do an EEG to see how your brain is functioning and find out if you're epileptic. Problems in the head could be causing the dizziness and forgetfulness, too.
