Hello to all! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you all about my trip to Cleveland Clinic last monday. The trip really took it out of me, my sister-in-law Kellie was a real angel for taking me. I was examined by 2 neuro's there and they went over my symptoms and mri's I brought with me. I was very disappointed they did not have any of my records beforehand. They asked me to spend the nite and have some tests the next couple of...

Hello Barbara Well, that was quite the journey you went on. I am so sorry that things were not more positive, but I think you are coming to the acceptance part of it all. This is the stage I am at. No one can say that didn't do everything in your power to find out more about what is wrong and what can be done. You really went the extra mile (or miles in your case) to get help from recommended professionals. Now perhaps is maybe the time...

Ulnar nerve transposition
Published (2009-11-22 07:26:00)
Hi all, I had ulnar nerve transposition on October 27, 2009. I am a little over 3 weeks post op and am still in horrible pain.My surgeon told me that this was a difficult surgery, but I can't believe how long it is taking to heal. A little history. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery in late January. Went back to work for only 3 weeks, and lifted an orthopedic tray and felt a pop. I originally thought the pop was in the wrist. Three...

femoral nerve pain damage
Published (2009-11-27 14:11:00)
I have damage to my femoral nerve as well. i had a femoral hernia repair when I was 21 and the surgeon went over board with the repair and instead of putting dissolving staple or suittiers he put 12 titanium staples in to hold the mesh. He put a few staple on my femoral nerve and a few other unnecessary places. Although the name for the nerve i think is different in the groin area (I think it's like inguinal femural or something to that...

As your neuro said, nerves do take a long time to heal unfortunatly, the only suggestion I have is some supplements that help the nerves heal. B12 methylcobalamin 1mg -5 mg daily 1 good quality multi B tab daily Acetyl-L-Carnatine -1 or 2 [500 mg tabs] daily Alpha Lipoic Acid or R lipioc acid being the newer & much stronger one, it is both water & fat soluble and a great antioxidant that ...

Will, I have SFN also, I had to chuckle when I read your post, I had the same exact day yesterday and have pretty much been up all nite with burning legs. I did break out my cane yesterday or I would have fallen. I was dropping my whole left leg from the knee down all day. I do the same thing, I get thinking I just can't take all these meds and then I try to do without a couple of them and get ...

I just got my Topamax today. The Neurontin made be gain too much weight and I'm already overweight so that was not good. We'll see how the Topamax works.

do you actually even know just why you are even having this pain at all? have you had at least an MRI done on that c spine area within the neck just to really kind of "see' into that spinal area for potential herniations, bone spurring or other problems that just can happen anywhere in our spinal areas? this would be my first guess as to the possible underlying reason. you might get some better ...

Hi there! I stopped Lyrica cold turkey without my dr's approval. I didn't know that I was supposed to wean off and that cold turkey is not advised. I didn't have a problem with Lyrica but when I tried to stop taking Cymbalta, well that was a different story! I was told to wean off by dropping to one every second day but by the second day my world was spinning! I was nauseated for a month and I...
