If he is on a schedule of 3 am or any certain a.m time, that's wonderful he's trained. If you ignore his schedule and he has to go out, cleaning up the floor would be worse yet. If any of my pets are giving me a sign that they need to go out, it is my responsibility to let them out. I know when i have to go , it is Now and no waiting. They are kind to me and i am kind to them in return. As anyone can see here, my pets are a top...

It usually happens when I am just starting to drift off, in that stage between being awake and falling asleep. I hate when it happens because it starts my heart racing and I always feel like falling asleep is a chore anyway and so it's not a welcome thing to happen! If I take my Ambien while I still have the light on reading and then turn the light off when my eyes feel like they can no longer stay open, I am usually O.K. It's a pain...

That's very intersting goldy. Lactose is one of my biggest triggers too and NSAIDs caused me other major problems even before I developed IBS. Its not just job and emotional stress that's behind IBS; I believe that physical stress from food intollerances combine with other stressors and overload our systems.

My long history with colonoscopies began some 20 yrs ago and I had benign polyps at that time. Not meaning to scare anyone here, but if a colonocopy is requested by your physician, I would follow through no matter how embarrasing, or uncomfortable the prep and procedure is. I know that colon cancer if found early can be treated. Also other GI diseases are better diagnosed with a look and biopsy of the colon, ulcerative colitis, and...

hi and welcome, after 13 years i take no meds specifically for fibro. never found any that were worth the side affects for my body. i chose diet and exercise and alot of attitude. i was in a wheelchair, now i fly in a kayak. i started by doing aquatic exercise and quit all meat. i don't think the lack of meat makes any difference, except beef, and i feel hung over if i eat it. i drink between one half to three quarters of a gallon of...

After seeing a gastro-intestinal specialist for years, trying this medication and that medication and dealing with side effects, I quit and investigated natural methods to control it. Its not perfect (because who is?), but if I try hard to eat a balanced diet it doesn't flare up too often. By balanced I mean always eating from at least three food groups with every meal - not just cereal and milk,...

All I can offer is encouragement. I've got a minor case of fibro. I do have instances where I can barely move the next day, but usually from more exertion than just basic household stuff. Have you seen a doctor? Have they offered you anything to help? I'm sorry that you are living in pain like that. Keep your chin up, though. There was a time where Fibro was considered to be all in our...

My feet don't hurt to stand but my thighs feel painful and shakey as if they were about to go out from under me. I find that I can not stand for any length of time. Some days even walking is hard to do. I have to use my arm strength to get out of a chair most of the time. Between the FM and knee OA that are ready for replacements some days it's really difficult.

I have a trial package of Nuvigil and it works well, however I take adderall (generic) and it works just about as well and whole lot cheaper.

Would you be offended if I personally change your name to "GuruBlue" ?
Thanks so much for sharing yourself, your wisdom, your peace, your pain and understanding with all of us. I don't believe in angels in the traditional sense, but you definitely fit the bill

It doesnt sound like fibro to me - too much twitching - i hope you find an answer - fibro is not really an answer as well unfortunate as that would be.

WELCOME,
Your story is a bit like mine.
I too had a hyst about 4 years ago at the age of 39. I am in meno and on HRT.
I was dx with Fibro 1-year ago exactly this month.
I also suffer from Bursitis in my knees, hips.
I am on Savella amongst other meds for this.
I get the flu like symptoms when I fl;are. My flares have gotten less but still get it. I would also deal ...

Have had the hot face thing and the big toe pain and definitely have a lot of dry skin on my feet, but I think that might be a different issue. I agree though, that it seems like other things are always popping up.
You get up every morning at 3 to take your dog out? Are you in a place where you can put in a doggie door?
Hugs,
Pam

Hi and welcome. If you have not checked out the Disability Board here, please do so. It has a lot of useful information in filing for disability. I don't think that Fibromyalgia is named as a specific diagnosis but it can fall under Connective Tissue Disorder and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. As you will learn from the disability board, it is not the name of the illness as much as the effect of your ...

yes, i have alpha intrusion also. ambien helped. 1 in 100 people have this and most do not know it. we are the chosen ones who get to know. while there is no treatment for this it can be helped with a sleep aid. your brain will not shut up but you will get healing sleep.
actually, i think it's kinda cool to be 1 in 100 and know it! course i get sleep now. giggle. so, what will your doc be ...

Hi - here's a few suggestions:-
A neck support (you can get them at airports etc it's a small almost u shaped bean bag) works wonders
A lumbar roll for your back
Keep the heaters on warm - I often put an ordinary pillow against the window to sop the cold air coming in
Keep covered up nice and snug
Stop the car and get out and stretch every hour at a minimum - better still every 30 mins...
