It usually happens when I am just starting to drift off, in that stage between being awake and falling asleep. I hate when it happens because it starts my heart racing and I always feel like falling asleep is a chore anyway and so it's not a welcome thing to happen! That's very intersting goldy. Lactose is one of my biggest triggers too and NSAIDs caused me other major problems even before I developed IBS.
