It wasn't as bad as I thought, it did hurt though. I have a question..when the doctor took the sample out she said "oh I didn't get much tissue, that is good"..I didn't think much about it (I took an ativan prior to the procedure) and now I am wondering why its a good thing she didn't get a lot of tissue..anyone know??? She also said my uterus felt fine, not enlarged or anything but I don't know what...

I have heard others say this before. I think it might mean that if there were a lot of overgrowth of tissue (more is worse, less is better), she would have gotten a lot of tissue in the sample she took. So maybe there is only some minor growth going on. A hopeful sign, in my opinion.

Hi Reach, Thank you for all your caring for me. I really appreciate any prayers sent my way. It is just so hard not knowing where it will go next or it has come back again only stronger since I can't have the chemo till blood count goes up. The dr. gave me a pill called marinol to help my appetite, he calls it medical marijuana, but I don't get much out of it lol. It does help my appetite a little though, so that is a plus. I really...

Carolyn...have been watching for you and waiting your response to Reach. I am so sorry to hear that you are unable to continue with treatment right now but am sure that this will improve. I am not into prayers I'm afraid but have a strong belief and know that everything will be positive for you. Try to have a relaxing Christmas...it is hot here and I am sending much warmth and blessings your way. Celia

Santee, you and all the other individuals dealing with this horrific disease are my heroes. My sister had breast cancer, so I was able to witness first hand how much you have to go through. I would not be able to do it myself -- this I know for a fact.
I am praying that your PET scan comes back normal, and that no further treatment is necessary.

No, it doesn't always mean cancer. But something is wrong in there. Maybe polyps or a thickened endometrial lining. They do not have to be cancerous, but you can't rule that out as a possibility until you get the biopsy done. Guess you had that today, right? Hope it wasn't as bad as you thought. I must say that because of my personal experience, I do not have as much faith in endometrial biopsies...

Why are they waiting until February to remove the kidney? Are you having treatments before the removal?
I am sorry for the bad year you have been having and I will keep you in my prayers.
Please keep us up to date on your condition.

Check out the archives, use the search feature and look back several pages, even back a year or two. I am almost sure there are stories similar to yours on here. If you think you can get something out of it, there are research articles with stories of successful IVF in women with endometrial cancer/hyperplasia w/atypia. They tell you exactly what the doctors did and the rate of success/failure. I...

Yes, even if it turned out to be cancer, which it may not, just because it has been going on for awhile doesn't mean you haven't caught it in plenty of time to treat and/or cure. If your lining is thickened and you have begun to bleed even though they say you are menopausal, it does not mean that cancerous changes have already happened. Even if they have, endometrial cancers are very slow-growing...

The facts are:
1) HPV can lay dormant for years before you test positive
2) there is no way to know when you became infected - nor from whom as....
3) there isn't a test to determine if a male is infected

Caradia,
If your doctor is not understanding your concerns and is not willing to explain to you why you may be experiencing these complications, than maybe you should be seeking out another opinion on your treatment options. Someone who is willing to give your concerns the the valility that they deserve and how you may be able to control the symptoms while going through this treatment, or ...
