My Boyfriend's Bone Marrow...

The test they did on me that confirmed PV was the bone marrow biopsy, I think they look for a mutation in the cells there. It will take a few days to get that result back though, I think for me they did the biopsy on a Monday and they knew by...

blood flow to fingers
Published (2009-12-13 21:05:00)
After a hot shower several of my fingers turned very white (like a total loss of blood). They did not turn blue, the feeling didn't change, they did not tingle or feel numb. After rubbing them and soaking them in hot water they finally became the normal color. This lasted for at least 45 seconds or more.

How to improve Reynauds
Published (2009-12-14 15:50:00)
I suffer from Reynauds and it really does effect my social life. I hate going out as the cold rips right through me, makes me really pale (apart from black circles under eyes ) and makes me feel really weak. I was wondering if anyone who suffers from this had any suggestions of ways to improve? I've been to my GP and tried Niffedipine but to no prevail.

Hi Oleander, I am glad to hear you got the test done at least, that is one step closer to getting a diagnosis. And happy to hear he doesn't have the JAK2, that's something you can cross off the list now! It must be hard to have to keep on waiting but hang in there! I am sending you all my prayers that you can enjoy the holidays and hopefully hear back soon to find out more. I am thinking of ...
