Agent Orange Vietnam Vets...

LindaDelJ said... I feel your pain. I know as soon as my husband is eligible for Parkinson's benefits, the neurologist will change the diagnosis to MSA. I do not have much faith in doctors or the VA. What is CBD? MSA is multi system atrophy.   Corticobasal Degeneration.  I think it's in the same "parkinson's plus" category as MSA (and PSP, Pick's disease, ALS etc.)

I am in my early 50's and was disgnosed with PD at age 48. I am not driving and have not been driving for over 5 years now. It is a horrible to be dependant on family and friends to take me anywhere I want to go. I feel like I have lost my independence. However, if Sinemet is not resolving your slow movements, you do not belong behind the wheel. You are a danger to yourself and others if you...

Alan, My name is Michael. I am a Vietnam vet who served in-country during 1971-72. I served 26 years in the Navy and retired in 1988. During my tour in Vietnam, I was exposed to Agent Orange which led me to be diagnosed with type II diabetes and hypertension in 1998. I filed a claim for VA disability benefits in 2005 and ultimately was given a 40% disability rating by the VA due to...

Welcome to Healing Well. A diagnosis of PD is always a shock, but the disease can be quite managable for years with the proper medication treatment. First, what type of doctor mande the dx. If it was not a neurologist, you will probably want to establish a relationship with one the has training and experience dealing with Movement Disorders. The are several excellant websites dedicated ...
