I find it interesting that the flu vaccine is used to boost the immune system in AIDS patients.

springsjean, have you thought about wearing a holter monitor for 24 hrs. ? That's what I did and it did show high BPM. My doctor wants me to take a very low dose of propranol if I feel it happening or if i'm having a stressful day. I have not tried it yet though. Just a thought.....

I'm taking an herbal blend now, but the Cat's Claw that I was taking was Saventaro by Better World. I haven't been taking it since I started with the other blend. I'm thinking that maybe for winter I should add it back in, just to keep my immune system as happy as possible.

I prefer HA, hyaluronic acid, which is the collegen in your skin and joint fluid. Do not buy anything with rooster comb or chicken sternum. I take 100 mg a day. I also take a supplement that I originally bought for my horses and then found out they also make a human version. It completely got rid of the pain in my shoulder from tendonitis that had bothered me for 6 months. You can google it - called Equine Leg Magic. It contains magnesium and...

No problem. The only thing I am not sure of is doing it while you are on antibiotics because I dont know if they will effect it or not. Also encase you have other questions you can email me at jenim24@aol.com. I got all my supplements at the vitamin shoppe. I looked around and they were the cheapest. I got their brand. Except for the probiotic - I take PB-8, which I also get from the vitamin ...

I went to the dr as soon as I saw the tick on me and was treated with antibiotics for three weeks and told I would be fine. That was in April 2007. By the summer, I barely could walk. Needless to say, they were very wrong. What you are experiencing could totally be Lyme. I have been treated now for over two years and the light at the end of the tunnel is finally not a train anymore!

My LLMD said that if I felt good enough, that I could get the flu shot...meaning, if I wasn't running fever, etc. I've been sick with Lyme symptoms so I haven't been able to get out this year to get it. I am not getting the H1N1 vaccine.

I asked my Doc what's the difference between a Herx and a bad day and he said... A bad day is a herx. Although I hate having bad days, I know it just means my meds are working. Hi momtomonsters, Vitamin C and Salt protocol is iffy. I've read a few websites that say it works but haven't really talked to anyone that had success with it. It can also bring your blood pressure up. If you look in the sticky titled, "New To Lyme?....Start Here!", there is information there about natural protocols. Deejavu had success with Jernigan's protocol. There were a few here that ...

Yes! It got so bad I couldn't even sleep on my left side. My neck pain is at the base of my skull, feels like someone is trying to crush the back of my head. Then my ears and jaw hurt. My collar bones hurt a lot too, I get the sharp pain that radiates up my neck under my chin. Shoulder pain is the worst. Feel like I am being stabbed. I have improved a bit but a year into treatment that is still...

springsjean, I know this may not be relevant, but since it is my experience with the symptoms you describe above, I'll put it out there for your consideration. Initially my symptoms were ascribed to anxiety, too. And I have a family history of irregular heartbeat, so it was also suspected this played a role. When all the dust settled, and I insisted on having a sleep study because I knew I ...

yogamom, Does your doctor know about this? I'm assuming he does since you know it's your liver and kidneys swelling. Your doctor will probably want you to stop all medications right away. Two weeks is not a long enough time for the swelling to go down. This is VERY serious and I hope your doctor has told you that. Swelling of the liver usually means that it's not filtering out all the ...

Peacesoul, What a great story! I love a happy ending. It encourages and inspires us all. I'm so happy to hear that natural remedies helped you. I am about to start a natural protocol because my body cannot tolerate antibiotics now. I'm hoping to balance everything out so that my immune system does the rest of the work. I'm really glad you are better. Please keep us updated on your progress....
