So you have to endure a NG tube? That will be irritating with my CPAP mask! The doctor said I won't need a foley. I asked him about that. Joy

Anne, Kitt, Barb, Griff, Denise, Joy and res0kkw0- Just dropping by to say "Howdy". It's been a rough weekend. I had to mount a ton of big tires Friday and my back isn't happy. The muscle cramps came back in my mid back and ribs. I am still thinking it has to do wit dehydration and potassium. My potassium is at the bottom of normal. Oh well, I am off until Tuesday and things are quite a bit better tonight. Hope you...

It's routine to have an NG tube until sometime the day after the op. If they are doing a quickie on you they may pull it early. They have to get air and fluid out of stomach. Your doc must be planning a realy short operation and then getting you awake and up-and-at-'em the same day. I wasn't even conscious enough to count until late the second day. It's a fibro thing on top of polio. Plus I was under for 5 hours. If I...

That sounds like what I found for the nissen. I have my preop appt on Friday. I will be sure to ask about the diet. I'm wondering if soy ice cream would be considered part of the liquid. Or can't we have anything too hot or too cold right away?

Posted by LdyJane on 8/27 @ 3:05 PM Hi friends! I came home early today, just am feeling very tired. I have my appointment tomorrow at noon with the psychologist, I'm hoping for good things, after that I have to have a bone density and chest x-ray. Tom is at a golf tournament for a few days with some of my cousins and I've got the house to myself. Yesterday I found that I have a ...

After a 5 hour drive down south we get to the great city of Albany. (Very hustle-bustle) We find the hotel and check in. Go get some food and relax for 30 minutes. I go to the doctor's office, very nice. ...

Okay, First welcome to Healingwell. Second, Nexium has a coupon you can sign up for to help pay for the medicine. Just go to their website and click on purple pill program. I use it to help pay a smaller co-pay. I feel I must warn you that longterm use of PPIs can cause small polyps to grow in your stomach. I just found out I have them. There is a small chance of them becoming ulcers. One more...

seymour Welcome to HealingWell and I do not suffer dizziness that I can trace back to GERD, that does not mean it doesn't happen. If your having a lot of dizziness, I would suggest you check in with your physician as there may be another reason for the dizziness. Take care Kitt
