What might have caused your anxiety ? Is there any pattern to your anxiety ? Does it occur more in mornings, on weekends, during school exam weeks, etc? Are you eating healthy, getting enough sleep and avoiding drugs/alcohol/caffiene/energy drinks? There are a lot of online techniques you can learn from to relax through your anxiety . Although you have been getting worse and you may think there is no way to improve I am convinced you will...

Cymbalta effect?
Published (2009-11-29 18:54:00)
Although I have to admit it's pretty hard to say with certainty that it's the cymbalta but I have noticed that my legs did stop shaking when I get nervous which is a positive but I seem to be spacing out a lot more and just feeling more out of it on the cymbalta. Anyone else ever have this experience with Cymbalta? Feel totally out of it and lethargic, although like I said I felt it before, just seems a lil more...

Cycle of My Thoughts
Published (2009-11-29 13:19:00)
I know what you're talking about , Mike. I myself have never tried the CBT but I understand its principles and have seen people here and elsewhere benefit from it. I think you could benefit from it as well. Anxiety is partly physical but how you as an individual perceive things has a whole lot to do with it, too. The sleep problems I really identify with. There doesn't seem to be an easy cure and if my journey is any indication, you...

Nanners, I have been jobless for months...close to a year now. :( Maybe more....:( Too embarrassed to say. And this whole time it has been the horrible for me. My anxiety, depression has been real bad. Yes, when you have more time to focus on yourself, the anxiety increases. The more you distract yourself and keep yourself busy, the quicker your symptoms will subside. It's best to be engaged in...

Its hard, but what you have to do is first find out that it is okay for you to be alone. I went thru this after a divorce. Kept getting hurt, so I made the decision to stay single for awhile until I become comfortable in my own skin, and was okay being alone. I really don't think you can really be in a healthy relationship until you are comfortable being on your own. Hope that made some ...

This happens every time I stress out and it involves food My pain is sharp and is right under my chest bone. But if you have burning feeling in your stomach and ...

Hey there,
Most health professionals today consider depression and anxiety as a chronic illness that requires long-term treatment, much like diabetes or high blood pressure.
It's not known specifically what causes depression. As with many mental illnesses, it's thought that a variety of biochemical, genetic and environmental factors may cause depression and anxiety.

Did the doctor give you any replacement hormones? I am sorry I don't know what bi-odenicals are. I had a hysterectomy at 36 and am now 52, lucky for me I have been on a synthetic estrogen since, and have not have to many problems. You said your hormones were flat line, I wonder if a hormone replacement would even things out for you. Good luck!

If it's only happened to you a couple of times I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you have anxiety and you drive a car, sooner or later you will have anxiety while driving that car. If you keep thinking about it, driving could become a "thing" for you so I'd just try to forget that it happened. But if you ever feel dizzy or anything like that, try to get to a place where you can pull ...
