Hello songwriters, I'm looking for songs that lyrically function as "dramatic monologues," in that they use a first-person speaker that clearly isn't the songwriter. If I write a song (chords, riffs, lyrics), and I show the drummer how I want the rhythm to be, and he uses the rhythm, but does his own thing with the actual drumming, does he get songwriting credit?
