I have been buying up toon track product for a while. I am well stocked on those. the other stuff. While a great deal just doesn't interest me very much. Thanx for spotting it though.

I bought every one of them, way to tempting. I have not recieved my electronic serials from audio midi yet for the cyber monday deals but the demo of both is pretty cool. XILS is VERY retro sounding.

Nero's on the money. Your limitation is the fact that the computer audio interface you're currently using presumably is limited to two tracks of input. If, on the other hand, you had, say, an 8 channel interface, you could devote a couple channels of input to drums, one to bass, one each for a few guitars, a vocal or two, etc. In such a case you'd use the channel strip direct outs on your mixer to route the individual...

I Want the BEST iMac Interface

Well in that case, Lynx and Apogee (Duet at $500 is a steal!) are your best bet. A friend of mine has an Aurora 16 going into cheap M-Audio speakers (why he still uses them is a mystery to me, but he says he's used to them). I used to own the same speakers, but used a Firepod for my D/A conversion. It's incredible what a difference there is between Presonus's worst converters and some top-of-the-line stuff, even into bad...

if you have something like Reaper you can midi edit by making each individaul note, but you will need a drum program to attach it to. I use EZdrummer http://www.toontrack.com/ alot and that program is nice or this, and record it http://virtualdrumming.com/drums/win...-drumming.html

The "people who told you" were wrong. The MO76 and MO8 unlike all other Motifs do not have any sample memory. For 500 or less, look into the Akai MPC500, Korg MicroSampler, Roland SP-404SX.

Going through USB will be the biggest limiting factor, more than a 5400 rpm hard drive, so I'd skip recording to anything through USB. I've recorded to my system drive in years past on a PC so it can be done, just not ideal.
What DAW are you planning to use?
What are the processor specs?
How much RAM?
A 7200 rpm hard drive is better and something that I would likely do to any ...

Hi!
My E-mu 0404 USB's S/PDIF IN doesn't seem to work properly
I heard there were some issues but hoped they had been long sorted out

and mac OS X machines.

64 bit compatiable interfaces ? Thats is a hit and miss. See if you can get
one of the native DAW drivers to run it.

I like it.
it sounds boxy, but that fits the song. It would be really cool to have it open up at some point.
also, the two guitar tracks don't compliment each other very well. I'd keep the more lead oriented one and experiment with a cleaner sound (maybe with tremolo and reverb?) for the other guitar.

You remove it by opening the "Applications" folder and dragging the application icon to the trash. If the various subfolders don't immediately disappear, then drag them to the trash too. But, they probably all will, Apple is very good about how you delete things (way different form Windows). Maybe some of the non-Apple pluggins will have to be manually deleted.
As far as reselling it, you ...

If you're using a CRT monitor vs a LCD thats the major source of hum. Other than that get your guitar properly shielded with copper foil or install noisless pickups or humbuckers that are designed to cance that hum. Single coils in most fender guitars hum like a bitch under high gain circumstances.
Original fender type pickups and others were never designed for high gain, only clean guitar. ...

I just looked at Apple's info page for that feature but still don't have much of a feel for what it's all about.
It sounds like it might have some of the functionalities of the oddball but (arguably) lovable program, Band in a Box, which allows the quick prototyping of MIDI arrangements of songs in different styles (and now apparently includes some interesting virtual instruments, such as a ...

I'd recommend a Line 6 - GX-1, UX-1 or UX-2 or perhaps an EMU- 0404 - both are rated great by the dudes who own them. The Line 6 ones come with PODFARM which is a kewl Amp Modeler app. They're both USB but they'll work fine - you really only NEED firewire if you're going to be recording numerous inputs at once. I have a USB interface and a firewire one but I use my USB BOSS GS-10 100% of the ...

I've done it with the UX1, I don't really care for it but it can be quick.
Better option is to record the drums via MIDI and have them trigger some better samples.
I'm using a TD10 kit.
