I would normally post this in the "Post your music here" thread, but this took a LOT of work and I deemed it worthy of it's thread. This is an mainly orchestral piece with synth obligato. This is probably the most elaborate track I've ever done, layers upon layers of layers. It's my arrangement of music by Debussy. It's not quite done, I may change a few things. Afternoon ...

Hey y'all it's been a while since I made a thread here on KSS and i figured i might as well stir up some info on a rather hot topic in my mind these days. You see, I love percussion and the general idea of hitting things with sticks, but drum sets seem like a royal PITA and I much prefer synthesizers anyway. BUT. What if I could hook a midi drum pad up (Alesis ControlPad possibly) to a...

....the fuck? On the bright side, you can get a comparative quote on your filter insurance.

With the worst global economic situation since the Great Depression, are you cutting back on your GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) purchases or plans? For example, I was hoping and planning on getting a Virus TI in the next couple months, but now I'm second-guessing myself whether I should save that money in case of "emergency" . . .

some interminable looping with basic rhythm accompaniment... really it's all about the filters and the modulation. As is often the case, all the really inspired shit happened before I hit "record" ... this is more like the sonic afterimage of a really good jam session. Still there are some nice sounds in here. the backstory is I just got a futureretro XS analog synthesizer, and I'm ...

I'm (reluctantly) planning to sell my JD-800 to a friend, but it has some issues I need to fix first. From the research I've done it seems that both issues - 3 keys not working and parameter values changing by themselves ("auto-editing") are due to dust inside the synth. I have a friend who is an electronic engineer and musician coming over to help me open it up and check things out. I just ...

Hi, folks, I am looking to get a first hardware synth. These are the conditions of my looking: 1. Must be under $700, only above $600 if it is absolutely necessary. 2. I am looking to play ambient music, so warm pads not loud tinny stuff. 3. Must have a fair amount of tweaking involved; I'd like to make my own sounds and pads. 4. Must have a software program where I can edit the sounds on ...

Is it me or does anyone else get pissed when a new synth comes out thats in a non-standard desktop/tabletop format. I like RACKMOUT GEAR! If a product could use hands-on tweaking, engineer it accordingly - Ive seen it done. Two great examples are the Minimoog Voyager RME and the Roland V-Synth XT. I like things to be neat and organized. Rackmounting uses less space, cables can be ...

SPAM: Moog Voyager RME $1799 PayPal'd and shipped CONUS . Only had it for a couple of months - bought it new from Nova Musik. Perfect condition, never racked. Never even turned the knobs, really, just been playing presets via MIDI. I think, perhaps, I'm just not a Moog kinda guy. Anyway, anyone want to save themselves $400?...

I Need Help With My MicroKorg Hey Guys, I have a microkorg and need some help. I circuit bent the board like an idiot and it blew out on me right away. I was using the batteries, not the AC. When i turn on the micro it gives me the two flashing green lights then shuts off right away. (nothing else lights up when I push the ...

I've always wanted to have one analogue synthesizer for organic, musical sounds. I already own one of the most expressive and organic sounding digital synths of the past and would love to get an analogue companion for a different sound palette but equally impressive soundwise. My music is very simple, a bit minimalistic but I don't care about stayng within a genre. I like to create tension by...
