Let's face it: All things guitar-related jumped the shark decades ago -- at least since turntables became accepted as musical instruments. We're all just relics of a simpler, gentler time...

Anyone try these Epi amps?

If it's not as dark sounding as the Valve Junior (stock anyway), it should be a good amp. I'm interested to hear if anyone has one yet, as well....

Depends...not sure what would qualify as a "good" guitar. Take a look at the guitars listed in my sig and tell me if any of those qualify and I'll tell you when I got it. That said, I do have a Takamine santa fe nylon string acoustic that I paid 1200.00 for. It's my most expensive guitar and definitely qualifies as a "real" or "good" guitar. I've had it about 15 years.

I don't like them either. I'm not a vampire.
I bought a guitar that came with one and told the seller to keep it.

Adds a little time on the tubes, but not all that much.

I'm lucky to have an amazing acoustic instruments store not far away from me - all the top brands and tons of high end pieces. Now, I'm not much of an acoustic expert, so I guess take whatever I say with a grain of salt. And for the record, I am curious as to what the differences between some of the dreadnought models are (D-28 vs. HD-28, etc), so interested to see what other say.
In the $...

i remember seeing those 15 years ago. great concept, but the instruments at the time were awful.
i think you can just as far, if not further with a book like Fretboard Logic or Guitar Fretboard Workbook.

does anyone know how the Ghost bridge compares to the fishman powerbridge? say the one thats on Slash's 2004 Sig LP ?
i heard something about the preamp being constantly on while a cable is plugged in to the guitar? and if the battery dies so does your pickups ?not just the acoustic saddles

The worse I've done is maybe peel the skin off my fingers from picking too hard.
I wear boots. Guitar proof boots.

Also, I'm talking about a mass-producer guitar here. Not some one-off work of art from a Soloway or Anderson. Production line stuff turned out by hourly workers that probably hate their boss.. Pretty much, take the same people making washing machines and turn them into guitar builders. Not master luthier types.. Everything will be CNC'd where possible.

1963 SG Jr, bought for £125 in 1975. One of my better decisions. Sold in
1981 for £215. NOT one of my better decisions.

I've never heard of any advantages or disadvantages of it other than it might wear down the finish on your tailpiece.

All of us? No way.
One guitar each at least.
Personally, I would be fine with one guitar, but it would have to include some technology which is plausible, but uninvented thus far. Nothing space-age, just a switching mechanism and a magnetic pickup which would have to be custom built for me. The reason I have several guitars is because this do-it-all guitar would cost at least twice what...
