Ultimately if you want a true repair, re-tapping and thread repair are going to be the way to go. Like i386 said, a machine shop if you know someone there will also be able to help you develop a new collar to fit your bar and the new threads as well. A case of beer and with an owed favor will get you along ways.... If you are good with cad and can design well.... Click Here They might be able to help you out as well...

Peavey C-600 crossovers

A picture would be nice. If I were to use my best gestimate, These are passive crossovers. They have a jack on them for the inputs from a power amp. The two sets of wires are for the woofer and horn/tweeters. The red and black are for the woofer, the red going to the positive terminal black to the negative. The other two, White being the positive to the horn and green to the negative terminal of the horn. If the crossover is a board (that isnt...

The wheels were aftermarket. 2 in a pak. Cheap. We have a hobby store here that has everything. I like the rubber. Gives me the ability to use the back of my hand for volume swells.

Excellent info Verne, this definitely helps. I think my next mod will be the opamp change. May even put a socket first. Looks like it may be kinda tricky to work in there, but I'll give it a shot. Have some experience with soldering irons, and actually have a newer higher end unit now with adjustable temp.

I think the guy who does the decals, whose thread I linked to, will not do exact reproduction decals. The font used isn't exactly the same, but close enough to make some people think it's Fender at first glance, due to the type style and gold colour, but it stops at that. Most people either use their name, designs, or something silly like Bender (with a picture of Bender the robot from Futurama ). There are places that do sell...

If you're doing the socket route, be sure to get the good kind. There are 2 types. I used the cheapo first time and the chip would shake loose from time to time causing the amp to hum horribly.

I don't want to drone or lecture, but you really don't want to keep steels on there any longer than need be. The bracing and construction is not designed to withstand the tension pull of steel strings. Although it might sound good and feel good now, there is a world of problems that are just waiting for him like a ticking time bomb. It might not be right away, but problems are soon to come. ...

Plexi can be used for some nice edge lighting using LEDs. Cheap, and
effective when trying to find your pedalboard. By using the LEDs for
back/edge lighting, you don't have them shining in your eyes. If you look
around for circuits for flashing, sequencing, chasing, etc with LEDs, there
are a lot of different (and again, cheap) tricks you can do with LEDs. If
you're familiar with 555 timers and ...

Interesting fix...the problem I see is if you do that, the JB weld might
eventually loosen and you'd still have the same problem.

I'll do some research. AKA ask my father. I think an alternative when using
H2O based dyes is to let it dry for a few days and go with your laquer
sanding sealer to lock it in place.

Under the orange "vintage" tint is there a sanding sealer? I just got a SX neck in and some of the orange had been chipped off and the wood still have a finish on it.

Each town may have an independant or two that may have what you need. Each town is different, you'll have to find them, and there arent any nationwide chains besides radio shack. Try the phone book.
Driving around to them you wind up using more gas then it takes to ship the stuff online. Independants usually charge alot more than you can find it on line for. I've easily seen 10~20x markup...

Pretty custom, if my memory serves me correctly. Most guitar-mags had a
story on it when Muse got big, so it should be something online.
