'Virgin' shark birth in Virginia The first time it happened, scientists thought it might be a fluke. A female hammerhead shark residing at a zoo in Omaha, Neb., had not been in contact with male sharks for at least three years and yet experienced a "virgin birth." She delivered a single pup. But it has happened again, according to today's issue of the Journal of Fish Biology. This ...

Per JacieFB's request I am starting a thread where we can list our complaints about McCain. Here are a couple of mine. . . . . He hasn'r run an effective campaign, because his strategy is incoherent. It appears that one of the digs on McCain and his snap decisions is true. For instance stopping the campaign to go back to Washington to get a deal done. I don't like that he voted Yes to ...

After Week 1, let's hear it! Texas, Tech and OU looked great, as did most/all of the top 15. I feel bad for Clemson. I only saw part of the game, but dayum... Hey Aggie fan, who is Arkansas St??? Thoughts on OSU @ USC? With Beanie's injury, a lot rests on him and to how fast he can recover.

Did anybody go see this movie this weekend? Religulous is a 2008 American documentary film directed by Larry Charles and starring political comedian Bill Maher. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous," implying the satirical nature of the documentary that is meant to mock the concept of religion and the perceived ...

Anybody been following this? I have no idea if there is any validity to it whatsoever, or if it's just a political stunt, but it's rather interesting how it's playing out. I had heard some talk about people questioning if Obama was actually a US citizen, but had no idea that a lawsuit was filed in NY to make him prove his claim that he is a citizen. I got this link in an email fro...

Voting is compulsory here, I believe you have to register to vote in the U.S (non-compulsory). I'm interested as to why anyone would decide not to vote...why not? ...surely anyone who doesn't vote can't say anything afterwards about the result. p.s - speaking on behalf of the rest of world, please vote the Democrats in .. . oops dang my speling, it's residents!!

...as well as the Bass I mean. I have an Epiphone LP Special II (despite the name, it's the cheapest of the Les Paul copies). I like to play it now and then ...use it for recording ...I can play the way I want the guitar to sound. But man, those tiny little strings! When in tune it's great, but they go out of tune so easily ... I have to adjust it almost every time I plug it in, ...
