Quick picture would make it easy to say 100% what it is. But bet it is the battery charger/tender plug as others have said

Nice one guys. As it turned out the Rack and Back went on ebay for a pile of cash while I was in work and couldn't bid . Think I'll just buy from the dealer after Christmas.

Never having fiddled with a rubber mounted sportster i dont know the answer to the moving the indicators but you had to take them off and reinstall on the pre 94 sportsters but on 94 to 03 the side plates had cutouts to fit round the indicator mounts would like to think that was carried forward
but the racks are usually designed to work with us plates the uk ones are much bigger so they dont ...

get a wiring diagram check power and signal inputs aswell as ground, thats a start.

me i get around 6k to 9k on Avon Venoms which will be going on the bikes once the OEM has worn out, and im doing quite a good job of squaring the rear off nicely at 3K

Hi Matt,
Welcome to the site, I'm a newbie as well, they are a great bunch of people on this site, no doubt you will enjoy it, as I am. Try EBC re the discs, they make all brake parts, I replaced the discs on my previous bike and had no problems, also they are made in the UK, so no problems getting hold of them and they are a lot cheaper as well,

as long as you have all the mounts and bolts to put them back on to the controls and enough wiring you will be fine, its literally a case of unbolting and running the wires back to stock locations, i dont remember but im sure they are not internally wired on the 1200N
