Good deal Kemo getting the deed done. At least you had codes to help point you in the right direction. I was not so lucky and had to do the down and dirty approach. Cheers and keep warm, winter officially starts next week!

being in the UK we do not see AMSoil but what i can say having been not only a moderator here but on other US forums is that AMSoil seem to wind people up with there marketing tactics to the point that members get banned/removed and all trace of the product removed, i have used Royal Purple and Spectro in my bikes as well as other UK only brands and i can say that non have the marketing tactics of AMSoil - from my opinion it quite possibly...

First Windshield?

For those on the forum with an interest in the "relics" of motorized accessories: Could this be the first windshield? I saved this image long ago and have 1912 saved with the document. It goes to show, "man" soon invented a way to divert wind and bugs.

I have found the footboards many times with my 94FLSTC. The first few times I reacted with the same lift of my foot that you did. I think this is a natural reaction to the noise and movement of the footboard. The way I overcame this was to find a curve or turn I knew I would scrape and go thru it several times untill I no longer wanted to lift or move my foot. Call it a conditioned reflex as in ...

Short term solution would be 1st choice...get those tensioner parts changed out pronto and flush the oiling system completely before it gets clogged with the "orange debris" and risk engine destruction. Inexpensive to replace if you catch it early AND still satisfy your gals' ride as well. You can always do the full job like TQ did further down the road. Gotta keep your ride happy and we all ...

One no madder how good a seal is over time small amount of water may get by. Two friction will cause oil to change color as will some of the additives in it. This is why oil experts tell you over and over oil color is not an indication of its condition . Now of course there are exception if it white that means it has a lot of water in it. The seals do wear and the meterail that wears off ...

Carolina H-D in Gastonia, NC....they advertise in several magazines as selling at MSRP but that is a lie....they won't put prices on their new bikes so the price is subject to change depending on how much of a sucker you look like. They have no integrity and their cutthroat salespeople will lie, cheat or whatever to get your money and get rid of you.

If I may I have a little story about fork seals. I bought my 2007 Ultra as a salvage. 5000 miles on it. Fork tubes were bent. I replaced them with new ones. I did all the disassembly. I let my indie shop install seals and reassembly tubes. Just in case. 200 miles later both seals were leaking and covering everything with fork oil. I went thru the whole process once more. James seals were ...
