Hey Ghoul Friday - any problems painting on cardboard like warping or anything? I've made a cardboard casket out of a water heater box and need to finish it somehow.

I wanted a centerpiece for the table this Halloween season and all I could find was "cutesy" stuff. That just won't work around this house. lol! So I improvised and made one myself: Really makes you wanna' pass the peas and carrots, huh? LOL! .

Last weekend we started some of our framework on 1 of our 2 ships that we will have set up on the BIG night. I thought I would go ahead and post some of those pictures of what we have so far. I actually don't get to help much this year as I am about 8 1/2 months pregnant, so I am the official photographer for construction and setup, not quite as much fun but, it will have to do. Purchased a few spotlights that spike into the ground from Home Depot today. They use a PAR38 flood bulb. I plan on using them to light up some of my outdoor props. Saw some posts about incandescent black lights and the heat they generate that have me a bit concerned. Do the same concerns apply to the colored incandescent/halogen PAR38s? I've been thinking of ordering some red bulbs....

My Fellow Spookster’s, Sadly I am not the computer video editor wizard that some of you are and I applaud your talents. What I am interested in and have been looking for is a simple video editor that will allow me to cut scenes from a movie. A video editor program that will show the movie in a story, or time line, that I can simply mark point A and then B and click cut and it will then join ...

Hey everyone! I am having a party in three weeks and am wanting to possibly dye my toilet water red to signify blood, and I would also like to be able to color my bathwater red as well. Does anyone know of any good ways of doing this that won't mess up the systems, or stain the toilet or bathtub? Thanks!

Shhhh. Mr. Flopsy is resting. The kids at the birthday party were just too much for him. This is the newest addition to my "Clive E. Cleaver's" children's restaur-haunt theme. I'm excited to see him under the proper lighting. There is a how to on my site for him.

OK, here's the idea that was kicking around in my head: Set up the cauldron with fog (preferably chilled to keep it in there) pumped into it and have the candy in the cauldron. Here's my concern. We've packed up lots of goody bags, but the bags are paper. I fear the cooled fog hanging out in there will make the bags damp/soggy. Can I achieve this effect without soaking the ...

I took our bride out of her box and set her up today to allow time for her dress to relax some of the wrinkles. I kept looking at her and decided that she definitely needed to be bloodied up. Have no fear, she will be going in the adult part of our haunt so the little ones won't see her.

Sorry I had to start again because I was getting close to the ten photo limit (and I wanted to create drama to make you tune in again) Here are my results: All on Red only Purple only Now first I have to tell you these photos do not do this setup justice at all, my focus is off (another excuse to buy a more expensive camera!) and it is picking up ...

I finally got around to making my own witch prop. It took quite a few beers to get everything right, but I am stoked with the results. The head is a hack from a Doug Fir. I used air dry clay to mold the face which I based around makeup prosthetics. The hair is a $5 dollar wig that I matted with Monster mud. For the cauldron I used a trash can and built out a frame and covered that with ...

Hey guys- I am VERY frustrated at this point. I'm trying to wire up a wiper motor, using the parking mode, with an ATX power supply. I have an 1157 automotive bulb running on the +5v line to keep a load on the PS at all times. That works great. If you aren't aware- the wiper motor runs on 3 pins... +12v, ground, and another ground for the parking switch (returns the motor to the home ...
