Thank you for your detailed information. The part that scares me most is the cutting part because the hair on the sides and back will keep growing as the top will always stay the same length. I'm leaning towards Hair Direct's disposables. I could get 12 of them for 2500 dollars and do my own service or something.

They will do all the work for you. The question is, will you be happy with the end result? If you wear your hair straight back or have a style that shows a lot of your hairline, I really doubt you are going to be happy with what you get from them. At least I wasn't at all. You have to weigh up the pros and cons. It's a trade off between improved self image and self esteem and putting in the hard yards on maintenance.
