Yea but that just shows you real news. I wouldn't see worthless time-wasting video clips if I didn't have Yahoo.

So far I've just been reading Arduino tutorials without actually using the board. Just digging through code and learning. Its very interesting problem solving. I can see how you use math to solve problems and program stuff. Its very interesting and complex. I can see how you need to think creatively and abstractly to create things. This is what I've decided to go with. I'm sure I'll outgrow the boards but I think its...

Got it! Rewording my google searches a bit resulted in this: Code: var Icon1 = new GIcon(G_DEFAULT_ICON, pin1); INSTEAD OF var Icon1 = new GIcon(); where pin1 is a variable that holds the URL to the image. Everything is the same, except I'm declaring the image this way instead of Icon1.Image = pin1;

Quote: I'm just trying to learn the basics of language rather than a specific one. Python from what I have read is similar to C++ and therefore Ardunio which is a hardware language for kits. Python has very little in common with C++ beyond basic control syntax. In fact, their commonality ends pretty much after establishing the fact that they are both programming languages that support the same primitive types. I'm also unsure what a...

Netcat (nc) plus a couple lines of shell is probably all you need. Is the output easy to parse?

It's definitely well laid out and usable. It's missing some cool look and feel though. I don't know, maybe it will make it worse.

You could treat the files as text and do a look ahead regex for 'public' then a function_exists to make sure it's not a property. There are still quite a few problems with doing this and I am too tired to list them. Reflection has ::getMethods and ::isPrivate. You can accomplish everything you want with those, but yes the documentation is very sparse. I haven't personally used them yet ...

As someone who learned C++ first, and then Java (and currently uses Java), my feeling is that I'm a much better Java programmer because of C++. Knowing C++ helps you appreciate what Java does for you so that it is not just a bunch of hand waving. Standard disclaimers, this is just an opinion, your mileage may vary, etc.

only problem I can see at a glance is that the image with the links on it can have its edge seen, ie: its not a perfect transition from the grey to the white, especially on the sides, where the thingy is still grey when it hits the content div

Does this script run at logon or something? I've been wanting to have automatic signatures for a long time (IE, if I want to change everyone's layout I can do it in one spot... Or if we want to change a disclaimer or something).
