If they do put Need For Speed Shift on sale I'm going to be conflicted. I just bought GRID yesterday, and I plan to buy Dirt 2 on Tuesday. Buying 3 racing games within the space of five days would be obscene. Over at D2D, Dawn of Discovery is still on sale for 50% off - what do you guys think about this game? I played the demo, and didn't care for the fixed camera angle, but I've been turned off by demos in the past, only to...

While I miss nvidia control panel I have had less problems with my ATI card. Not to say people don't have problems like the infamous grey screen of death on ATI cards the cause of which has never been found out. Both companies have their problems with drivers.

yeah, I don't see what that guy is complaining about. I didn't play too much of the first one so maybe he was expecting something else, but I appreciate the difficulty on the second one. It's refreshing to play a game that encourages you to go in with a strategy and will absolutely OWN you if you don't work together. I was playing with 3 guys last night on the parish on expert. We barely made it out the first door before a...

Nah with 150-200fps even with vsync you'd have a steady 60fps (green in valves fps counter) Gotta be a driver or game bug.

i've been on 1920x1080 for a long time now (37w1) and i haven't run into any issues, if a game supports 16:10 it will support 16:9 the usual widescreen issues apply for older games or games that don't support widescreen resolution.

Yes I have my Onkyo 7.1 receiver hooked up to my PC. My receiver has 7.1 analog inputs. The cable I use are four (4) RCA Y-Adapter that goes from receiver to my pc sound card. That's for full 7.1 surround. Depends on your setup, but you'll probably need the RCA Y-Adapter if you have a sound card in your PC.

I'm still a high-sec noob (<30 days) in my starting NPC corp so the biggest change I'm probably going to see is the new in-game web browser. The current one is quite possibly the worst graphical web browser ever. With Dominion, a new browser based on Google Chromium comes. The new browser will be fast enough to actually use & actually be able to render tables properly. I'm stoked.

Sadly sounds a lot like most of the rpg AI that I've ever seen. I won't have my copy until next Monday (the 9th) so I can't offer advice yet, but I am so looking forward to trying this out. If I do come across any revelations once I get it I'll definately post back here though.

I find your writing style oddly facsinating. As for being an RPG noob and being afraid of reptitive pausing, you could always start out with something like Oblivion or Fallout 3. Those are a bit more action oriented and you won't need to pause constantly like in DAO.

oh, and I also figured out a little trick for anyone that might find it useful. If you're using a gun with a slow reload (shotgun for instance, but it works on any gun), you can speed it up if you hit the reload button and immediately do the push attack thing (R mouse button) after. Not only is it faster to reload, but it will also protect you from a hoard of zombies trying to rip you apart ...
