are you sure you are entering the right password? also try to make sure you don't make a mistake while typing as i've seen some devices use Ctrl-H as the backspace, so if you keep hitting backspace, it is actually entering a bunch of weird characters.

I use DOMs for this. Little industrial flash modules that plug directly into an IDE port. They work great, are inexpensive, and give a little more peace of mind than using a random flash card where you have no idea if the wear leveling can handle it or not - they are designed for this. I use the InnoDisk EDC4000 and EDC8000 modules, I've got a half dozen or so in production pfSense boxes starting about 18 months ago and have been very...

Okay now that we have that situated - next part is Print Server. I have setup 2 printers along with print pooling between the two on different ports. The part I am having trouble with is stating that there should only be one printer for both printers that the clients print to. I assumed that Print Pooling automatically went to the other printer to even out prints. So logically on the client I told it to print 3 times expecting 2 prints to...

No, they seperate them because both can become very intensive tasks. You're fine.

If you go to the "works with" section for the DAP-1522 on the D-Link web site the DIR-655 isn't listed. The DIR-825 is but the DIR-655 isn't. You might want to poke around on the D-Link forum and see if its going to work before you buy it. http://forums.dlink.com/index.php

For my PFSense box, I use an old IBM T40 Thinkpad laptop. It's old, a Pentium M 1.2.
I had piles and piles of old T20 and T40 vintange Thinkpads from clients replacing them, before tossing them out I snagged a few hard drives. Out of those old hard drives, I have a few which run quietly and nicely.
Since PFSense doesn't push a hard drive much, I'm not worried about it failing for my ...

Many viruses will futz with DNS; you'll see many of these symptoms with those. Otherwise, use 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.2 and see if the problems persist. If they do, then download malware bytes and run it ( in fact, do that anyway ).

Do "sh vlan b" and see if the VLAN is in the db on sw2. It sounds like the VLAN isn't there and the switch is trying to create it (which is what happens when you issue that command and the VLAN doesn't exist).
Edit: Just saw that you already confirmed that it's in the DB. Lemme think.

Good question. Probably depends on where you're applying as to how much value they place on what type of degree you have and were you attained it. A co-worker of mine just started pursuing his Masters from Kaplan University. He likes the program so far...whether it will pay off is yet to be seen.

if you logged in with the domain admin acct while everything was working, the comptuer cached the credentials.
So, once the credentials are cached, you can continue to log in with that account, regardless of network connectivity to the domain.
The reason you cannot login with this "new" user, is because their credentials are not cached on the local box, and the DC cannot be contacted to ...

Since you're using the POP3 connector to download from your mail host, just set your SMTP to forward to yoru mail hosts outgoing mail server. This way you never ever have to worry about RevDNS/PTR.
I have many SBS setups out there, quite a few still using the POP3, I never...ever...want to have any Exchange server sending out directly, I always have it SMTP forward to either the POP 3 host ...

Yes you can transfer files within the program.
The modem and network activity lights will always be going during a citrix session, even if nobody is doing anything...your screen image..however still and motionless it is, will still be updating across the network.

the problem is you're segmenting the network too much with a bunch of little 8 port switches, if any packet needs to go farther than the local 8 port( highly likely) its going to have to take 2 extra hops to get there ( ~>core~>table) that can cause alot of unnecessary traffic. 24 port switches at minimum IMO. 48's would be great. gigabit i wouldnt worry about for the access switches. 100Mb is ...
