Verizon Tests Sending RIAA...
Published (2009-11-12 19:54:00)
It looks like Verizon is getting ready to start sending out copyright violation notices to its customers starting today. Supposedly the letter will instruct the user to delete the offending content but will not issue an ultimatum or threaten service interruption. Quote: Verizon, the second-largest phone company in the United States, is expected to begin issuing "copyright notices" on behalf of the Recording Industry...

Bill Gates Praises Steve Jobs...
Published (2009-11-14 19:57:00)
Gates gain nothing from shunning Jobs considering Microsoft software works on Apple computer just as well as they do on PCs. As I said in another thread I don't see Apple and Microsoft as true competition. It's more like Apple vs Dell/HP/Lenovo/IBM/etc. Embracing Apple computers would gain more Microsoft users on Apple computers.

Get The Force in a Flash Drive
Published (2009-11-14 12:05:00)
I read about this on CNET a few days ago. "May the drive be with you." The prices are a rip off for flash drives. 8 GB should be under $15, but b/c of the Star Wars rice, it's $40. More than double the price. But if you're that much of a SW geek, then all the more power to you.

rofl... yea the service tag on my 3007WFP-HC from the outlet store ended up being for Canada... so I call the US support line, and they tell me to call Canada, then Canada tells me to call the US. etc. I gave up after 4-5 calls..
So the problem is my service tag is meant for a Canadian customer and they won't adjust it for whatever reason, probably haven't gotten pissed or yelled enough.

Anyway, I kind of hope they did a test on malware prevention capabilities as well. Like how well they works in stopping a malware from a thumb drive, email attachment or other common source.
In the past, I usually do a clean reformat once a malware is detected. I don't really trust the av to completely ...
