I've shot a lot of different branded ammo through my XD(m) 9 and while there is definite variance in POI they all ejected the same including the cheap Russian stuff which happens to be one of the most accurate through mine.

I was out bow hunting (no luck) and was clearing lanes for gun hunting. Was sawing a bent over tree (hand saw) and was at it for 10 min when a 8 pt 2 1/2 year old buck sauntered up. Stood down wind for a couple minutes and walked back the way he came. That was the first non-spike non-nub buck that I've laid eyes on this year. That includes the deer in fields etc. Not many buck, not many does. Thanks DNR. We have coyotes', wolves, and...

for reducing recoil by allowing the expanding gases to sort of thrust the end of the pistol downward. Since the barrel is above your wrists, this created a moment/torque in the clockwise direction (when looking perpendicular to the left side of the pistol). The ports allow the pistol to be thrust downward, creating a moment/torque in the counterclockwise direction when looking perpendicular to ...

No, I don't think so. If they were both .40 or both 9, then you could. You can get 9mm barrels for .40 slides.

You have your conditions backwards there bud.
It depends on what you are the most comfortable with.
I carry mine at condition one. Less things to think about or do if you are under duress and need to shoot something in a hurry.

The XD(M) will fit most XD holster for a 5" barrel. One of my favorite shoulder holsters is a vertical carry by FIST which has a draw through capability that eliminates the thumb strap. The vertical carry also allows for one handed re-holster and no straps to the belt. The #70 does come in a XD(M) version. Just remember most good holster are custom made and will take some time to ...

From the XD(m) manual
Quote:
Before attempting to shoot, practice operations by dry firing without a magazine and with the chamber empty
So for the XD(m), Springfield doesn't have a problem with dry firing.

Most/all here will tell you to keep it full and keep the mag in the gun and keep a round chambered. How much would it suck to need 7 shots, but only have 6. I'd keep at least 15 shots, but 19 would be better.
You should keep the bullets in the gun. Not only that, but it's normal to have 2 full backup mags. I have a mag in the gun, and then I have the two mags, loaded that I use at the ...

What n a z i range did you go to that would only allow you to shoot their ammo? I only ask because I want to make sure they never see any of my money.

I haven't shot a ported barrel for the XDm, but my buddy has a ported Glock in .40 S&W and thought it was surprisingly light in recoil and not much more than my 9mm's, so I'd say it will definitely help. However, I certainly wouldn't go spending hundreds of dollars in order to do the conversion.
