It will seriously wear the barrel. I do not recommend. I will buy for 1/2 price and shoot it for you.

How are you getting away with that power level in a 45ACP ? What kind of cases are you using ? Any high pressure signs ?? If not I'm thinking that would make a great short range deer load !!!

I havnt read all pages of info here yet but on quick examination it seems you are using rainier or copper coated bullets with a short O.A.L. try using some regular fmj bullets to a factory oal and I would bet that your problem will go away. Just yesterday I loaded some lead short OAL bullets and they were doing the same thing came home and switched my load and went back out problem gone.

Thanks for the comments on the Z! I have considered myself lucky to have it. As for the tactical light I bought it off of opticsplanet.com. NC Star AQPTF LED Flashlight for Pistols/Rifles w/ Weaver Style Mount and Quick Release FREE S&H NcSTAR Flashlights. It seems the price has went up since I got mine.

shaner where did you get the XD compact duo tone? springfields site doesn't list it, and the book the guy ordered mine out of didn't list a duo tone in the .45 compact

No problem, fire away. Many guys use +P ammo, I use Win Ranger +P as my carry ammo.

I've shot the hornady tap ammo out of mine without any problems. I believe thats the bullet they use in it

I gotta say i agree with you. I shoot the xd 45c as well if not more accurate than my xdm 9 which i definatily put more rounds through. I can control the xdm better though, but thats more a caliber issue and the muzzle rise. but in slow fire i can aim better with the xd

Just got my XD45c last Friday. So far I have only run three mags through the 13 rd mag. No pinching; fits pretty tight. I don't like the feel of the gun with the long mag in it and will probably only use it once in a blue moon. Hopefully if ever needed 11 rds of Gold Dot 230 gr HP will get me out of harm's way.
