There's nothing wrong with expecting POA=POI with a defensive weapon.

Accessories websites for XD45

Hey ya'll, What are some good sites for finding accessories, other than S.A. itself? I'm not looking for anything in particular, but something might strike my fancy on one of the suggested sites. Thanks!

How easy is it to get on and off? This is the laser I'm looking at, but, the installation has me concerned that it might not seat at exactly the same spot. At this point, how well will it maintain its target point after install, removal, install, ect.? I like it though, and for a self defense situation would like to take the tunnel vision factor out of the equation.

Thanks for the in put all. I do live in Kalifonia hence the 10 round magazine. I think it is just the difference between the rental and a new firearm. Either way, thanks so much.

frustrated with flat points
Published (2009-11-16 00:49:00)
So I ordered some Ranier Ballistics 200 grain flat points for reloading. I shot about 40 of them today and danged if one out of every mag had a failure to feed and it was always a few rounds into the mag. I tried all of my mags and it happened with all of them. Is it the flat point bullet or is it something else with the gun. 45 tactical by the way.

I just got an el-cheapo delux green laser. The zero point is set at 25 yards - the longest distance I anticipate shooting. So, at every distance from the barrel to 25 yards, the bullet will land slightly above the dot. Then the bullet will diverge going lower than the dot. At 10 ft, the angle of the laser to the barrel is fairly steep and the rate of divergence is going to be pretty quick...

Haven't had the ball ammo vs. deffensive round problem, but as far as a full mag, I have noticed the extra tension needed to depress the mag release. Guessing it's just from the heavier mag loaded verses an empty one.

You're say you don't get a reset? That usually is because the trigger bar has not been adjusted correctly. When you installed the sear did you do anything with the trigger bar?
