LUCKY!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite parts for some reason is cleaning my guns. My wife thinks I'm nuts, but I honestly love doing it for no good reason.

The Rifleman's Rifle--at least the Pre-64, and the brand new ones being made are... Controlled round feed, positive extraction, a nice trigger right out of the box...I'll take on over a M700 any day. Yes, well worht it.

I would have no reservations with using a 20 guage as a HD shottie. BG will go down just the same at those distances. That being said, I have a Knoxx stock on my 870 and the recoil is reduced dramatically. I can fire 3" magnum loads, no problems. Not match the Knoxx with a reduced recoil round of "OO" and recoil is basically gone. It's still dang loud, so you may flinch at that, but the actual recoil...

My cousin bought one of those Savage 22 mag boltguns that has a detachable box mag and comes in a laminated thumbhole stock. Don't know the model...but I am sure some here have seen it. I was shocked at how accurate it was, when I borrowed it. I don't have a 22 mag rifle but if I ever get one...the Savage is high on the list. - brickboy240

Bought a Ruger 22/45: Review -...

I'd like to get a Ruger .22, esp. one of the fancy ones with bull barrel and wood grips. My wife hates guns but did fire my Walther P22 once a few months ago. I think she'd have an easier time with a .22/45.

what kind of grouping have you gotten out of it?
I like the Mosin's...that bolt however isn't the smoothest action...
looks like a nice fieldable scout though.

Congrats to her first gun.... We have a 22/45 and really love it. Ours feeds the Federal Bulk ammo I get at Walmart, $15.47 for Qty 550. Here is a pic of my son's first clip through it.
As far as form, my son used to lean back a little, I have been teaching him to lean more forward with some weight on his toe heels and keep both eyes open. Keep working with her, great that she will shoot with...

I had the same experience. I own the Xd45 and my cousin owns the HK45...and there is a big significant difference, but i still love the XD, but would definately get the HK in a heart beat if I had the funds and if the gun was available (sold out when i bought my XD45).

I don't like the color scheme. Horrible! I don't mind the new logo contest though. A logo is not really going to deter like the full page colors.

Suggestions for a new rifle?
I'm looking to buy a new or used rifle with a scope - or without a scope and add one immediately. It will only be used for medium- to longer-range target shooting at an outdoor range, so I'm keeping my budget low.
I'm looking to spend $500-$600. I know I'm not going to get terrific equipment for that ...

Colt Cobra vs. S&W 642 vs. Ruger LCR
I am having a really tough time making up my mind between a used Colt Cobra for $395.00 (not sure what year but it does have the shrouded barrel) with some holster wear but a 99% barrel, a new S&W 642 or a new Ruger LCR . This would be a CCW for a back up gun or when my 1911 is to bulky. I would...
