I have a supertuck and it will hold everything (xd-9 to xd-45 to xdm09). Now it is a little tighter with the .45 but your belt helps to keep it tight.

Small lights are great because they fit in your pocket and go everywhere with you. They also work well as a weapon if needed. You can open someone up pretty good with a light...and they used to make nice serrated bevels for lights as well so you could REALLY get some purchase on someone and cause some damage...but don't see those offered anymore. I know a few guys with such lights and they love them for airplane rides. Closest thing to a...

XD .40 shooting 9mm?
Published (2009-11-07 18:12:00)
Quote: Ballistically or for SD .40 is more desireable than .357sig anyway? The .357 SIG is basically a 9mm bullet driven by a .40 S&W powder charge. It drives a lightweight bullet at high velocities. The .40 S&W shoots a heavier bullet more slowly. For SD, this translates into the .40 S&W penetrating deeper. .357 SIG ammo may be hard to find, and expensive when you DO find it. I've had an opportunity to shoot both...

I use a small hand held flashlight with 21 LED, about 65 lumens. It's small enough for me to be keeping it in my pocket at all time. I was trained to hold the flash light near my face, while holding gun on the other hand. But as some of the above posts suggested, it's not as easy as you think to shoot with just one hand. that's just me though...

You can get a Surefire LX2 brand new on eBay for 160 dollars shipped pretty easy. 200 lumens and a dual stage no BS tail cap. Tasking light of 25 lumens is good for 47 hours. High output second stage is 200 lumens for 2.5 hours. Basic 123A batteries that can be had for 1.25 each when bought in bulk. 35 lumens is too low. My old Surefire Aviator A2 had a max output of 50 lumens. Too low in my opinion. It cost more than the LX2 too. The LX2...

check the efkdragonfire site to see if their conversion barrels are currently in stock. You may drop some extraction reliability due to the extractor engaging less of the case rim of the smaller 9mm. Fine for a range gun (less $ on ammo). Specific 9mm mags can improve feeding reliability but 40 mags will work. You might need to bent in the lips very slightly to hold the 9mm at the proper ...

Handhelds are more useful and easier to control the momentary on/off if you bought a light that is capable. The TRL-1 is more tacticool and adds some serious weight the the business end of things. Personally I would save the money for other things. What ever you decide on you need to train how to use it, best if you went and paid for some vs training yourself based on something you saw on ...

Yes it should do everything you want it to. The operator belt has an insert in it that is built for holster support. 5.11 did a good job designing the belt itself for its intended purpose and it holds rock solid even with 10 or more pounds of gear pulling on it.

Are they the TFO's? There have been many reports of the FO tubes popping out. It happened to me so I epoxied it in there forever. Worked like a charm and they are very bright in dim or low light. They make it very easy to grab your gun in darkness too.

I recently went through exactly the same dilemma a few weeks ago. I have a really comfortable holster that had a really nice shield on it. After my last weekend class the instructure pointed out that I was regripping the gun after the draw to get a good grip. After the class I did some serious surgery on the sweat guard to ensure that I can get a full firing grip on the gun prior to pulling it ...
