MONTREAL -- A survivor of the murderous rampage at the Ecole polytechnique says the government will have blood on its hands if the controversial federal gun registry dies and there is a spike in firearm-related killings. Heidi Rathjen, a former engineering student at the school, was among those who worked to reform Canada's gun laws and set up the registry in the wake of Marc Lepine's attack... A left-wing story if I ever read one. On the contrary, what would have happened if someone else in that coffee shop would have been armed? Possibly could have stopped the shooter or distracted him long enough for another officer to terminate the threat. This article says no guns, I say more guns!

Wait, I thought we had laws and background checks banning mentally disturbed and felons from buying guns? Huh, wait, you mean gun laws DON'T WORK?! my god! No, no... that can't be true. I am going to ignore that fact and write a news story for MSNBC instead.

Could we just kick him in the groin until he died? Or is that "cruel, and unusual"?

What planet do these people live on?!?!?!
No matter how many times bans are enacted the proof has never shown that violent crimes goes down. It generally makes crime rates go higher in areas that have bans. Cali, New York, Chicago, DC are prime examples.

What an idiot. Canada is a foreign nation and any rights you have stop at the border. I not only know not to take a gun into Canada, I also know not to take a flare pistol into Canadian waters. Because Canada considers a flare pistol a handgun and they will throw the book at you for having one in their waters. Basically, I just avoid Canada.
Frankly, the flare pistol thing was the last ...

Interesting turn of names here. One is Jerry Brown, who obviously isn't the same Jerry Brown who once dated Linda Rondstadt, that Jerry Brown was about as far left as you could get.
Then there is Julie Leftwich, with a name like that it's no wonder she is a left wing wacko. I have no doubt that she is a founding member of PETA, but bet she even bottles her farts for deep well insertion ...
