Have you tried running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor? It will tell you if there are drivers missing for your system after upgrading to Windows 7. System manufacturers also post drivers to Windows Update After upgrading or doing a clean install, go to windowsupdate (Check for updates, opt in on all recommended and optional driver updates)

Checking on my order I am at the status of Shipped . I have not received an email to this effect though. In response to: it's not that we had computers without operating systems waiting for one to come. I presumed the upgrade would ship from HP the day Win7 was released. I did after all purchase my PC from HP. I did not know I would have to deal with an out-sourced 3rd party. Nor did know this process would be so erratic. In...

Win 7 64 bit is for a desktop. Win 7 32 bit is for a laptop.Originail receit was denied. So I contact HP through registration e-mail and my order went to accepted. Then for some strange reason it went to in process pretty fast. Go figure! I think HP and MS need to make a public apology, because they have extra large eggs on there faces. jlw274 PS: As of today 64 bit is still accepted. WTF. Excuse me, I should not talk like that.

No they are NOT. After the sale you are turned over to what they call customer Service. Which is the personification of NO SERVICE outsource to Inia or near by. People who read from scripts and frustrat you. Like I said before. Next time Apple. There are NO problems going that way. HP, Dell all of you.. Goodbye!

I hate to say it, but when I do the Windows 7 upgrade, it has told me that this hardware will not be compatable with Windows 7. I would surely hope that this printer would be able to be supported somehow. Does anyone have any thoughts for installing the Vista driver for the 1012? Thanks.

This is nice to know a day later... Is there a specific reason that notebook owners must wait a longer period of time, or a reason as to why there is a wait of 8 days before shipping from release date? A disc is a disc, no matter how you cut it or burn it. Maybe for Windows 8, HP can partner with someone (hopefully Microsoft Store-as they offer ISO download and we can burn our own) ...

I have had the same problem that many have had. I got to POP recieved and was stuck for quite a while with arvato. Finally I began contacting HP and sent them my POP and simply stated that this company arvato was not representing HP very well. By the end of day my arvato status was changed to accepted. That was about twelve days ago which is ironic because according to arvato I should ...

You can try calling them, as I have done, but I wouldn't expect it to change anything- we're all likely in for a bloody long wait, no matter how loudly we complain. Remember, Aravato is just following orders set forth by Microsoft and the PC makers. It really isn't fair to blame them- they've got little control over the situation. That's what Microsoft and the manufacturers are ...

By the time the final version of Windows 7 becomes generally available ( October 22, 2009), HP should have Windows 7 drivers available for your HP product.

If the system doesn't let you resubmit POPs, its likely that you are already approved. Very few, if any, have shipping dates regardlss of approval. Look at your status. Does it say Accepted? If so, then you have nothing to worry about.

Windows 7 has the PSC 1400 series printer drivers included. You may need to go to the Printers folder, select Add Printer, and when the list of printers comes up select "Windows Update". This may take several minutes to complete. Once the drivers are updated you should be able to just plug the USB in and have WIndows find and install the drivers. Regards, Bob ...

By the time the final version of Windows 7 becomes generally available on October 22nd, there should be Windows 7 drivers available from the HP Support & Drivers Web Site . In the meantime, check with Windows Update for available drivers.
