that link did the trick.... the sharing in WMP12 was not set to share.  Once I enabled it, the media smart side of the x280n was able to see the videos!  Thanks!!   AND this was, again, done with none of the rubbish software that HP shoved down our throats being installed!   Real quick, for anyone having the same issue.... .for me i had to open WMP12.... click Stream tab -- and then Allow devices to share my media.

Update - I found out I hand to manually uninstall Photosmart Essentials first. Now the install disk will run to completion but only desktop icon is for Photosmart Essentials and nothing for Hp Solutions Center.  I then installed from the HP website but same thing.  So I have no way of starting HP Solution Center.  The scanner will still work with Photo Gallery.

Well I was able to successfully remove the YSUS board, now to contact PTS with the number and send it off. I am a bit worried about when it comes back and all this "adjusting pots" business. I'm proficient in removing or installing but the tweaking part I have no clue. For those of you who have done this did you have to do any tweaking and if so was it difficult?   I am just so ready for the issues with this TV to be...

I own a MD6580N TV that recently started to have problems.  I have worked for HP for over 11 years and didn't realize how difficult it is to get support from the outside.  I paid the $629.00 for out of warranty repair.  They claimed that I would get 3 repairs on the same issue and a 90 day warranty for other items included with the $629.00 price.  The first issue was resolved quickly with a new light engine.  Immediately after...

I second your issue.  Also purchase an e9280t directly from HP along with the Elite Autofocus Webcam and I am having the same exact issue.  I have seached the HP support sight and cannot find a Windows 7 driver nor have I found anything on the ARCsoft websight.

Have I mentioned that I contacted HP support, and they identified that it is a *known issue* and they have been repairing it *for free* for customers for 18 months? There is probably little difference in video between DVI and HDMI. But because you are connecting to a TV which is a CE device then I think you should use HDMI as it is a CE standard.   Cheers,

Were you ever able to resolve this? I am trying to perform a restore after getting an error that is not documented anywhere and have been unable to do so.   Where in the world can I get support for this darn product? I don't want to sit on the phone w/ someone. Do they not have any sort of email / online ticket system support?

Did you ever get an answer?  A month later and no reply?  This is what passes for customer support these days - leave the customer hanging and desperately waiting for another customer to figure out the answer and tell them what to do.  HP, like so many other companies, cares so little about their customers that they don't even give them a way to contact HP.  It's great from the ...

HP Pocket Media Drive and mini-PMD are the same. HP Personal Media Drive is the larger version in terms of physical size. Pocket Media drive requires no power adapter where the Personal Media drive does.   I can't speak to where to get one in the UK, but here is a web site for comparison, http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product =3648325&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&lang=en&cc=us  ...

Just to be sure, when you ran diagnostics, this is what you were referring to? http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docnam e=c00877902&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc =us&lang=en&product=3369894#N1227   When you say the TV reboots, do you mean the MediaSmart interface restarts or the whole TV does?   Cheers,

Hi...   You don't need to do anything though the TV, and actually I don't think you can. Is the resolution correct in the Windows desktop, 1920 x 1080 or 1080p? If so, it should be the same for Media Center, but if you need to do anything there it would be in the Media Center Settings menu for TV setup. It is all based on your version of OS.   Cheers,

Yep, it doesn't seem to take much to kill the batteries on the Jornada. You can find drivers for your WIFI card at: http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/h/0031.asp or http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200810 20073015AAOpaGV or http://download.softpedia.ro/dl/8dade40c8f214e508a 06fbb3a5102bfa/48fc99c8/300017921/drivers/NETWORKI NG/windows_drivers_sr02-2.3.zip or http://forums....

Most backup programs only backup data - music, pictures, documents, etc. Programs such as Office are not designed to be part of a back-up, but rather need the original media to re-install the program. It is a pain, but that's the way it is, I am currently going through the same.   Cheers,
