More Problems with New HP Scan...

OK. I should try a comparison of each of those scan programs and see the difference. Too bad HP Scan Pro is gone. It was pretty perfect on Mac OS 10.5 I'll also look into VueScan Thanks. Will let you know what I find.

Unfortunately the ScanJet software has slipped due to unexpected complications in the support of Snow Leopard. The software lab is working on the new release dates. The original phase 1 scanners 2400, 3800, G2410, G2710, G3110, and N6310 should be available on the web soon. All of the scanners originally listed for update are still happening. Just delayed.

Well this is getting annoying... I connected the 7310 to the Airport via ethernet as you recommended and FINALLY the printer is being recognized once again. So thanks for that. However nothing will print. I tried a Photoshop file, a text file, and a pdf (although lately I have had that apparently widespread problem of pdfs not printing through Acrobat but I hoped with all this reinstalling and other machinations maybe that function...

Thanks! That method worked. I am up and printing wirelessly. I guess I do not need to return it now which saves me a lot of headache.

As long as you are able to access the printer's internal web page from your browser, unplug the USB cable while you configure your SW firewall.

Printing CDs - Mac printing and...

Well, I'll answer my own question, since no one here did. I finally heard from HP tech support, after two days, only to learn that this version of their software doesn't support printing to CDs at all! I bought this printer (a PhotoSmart C5580) as opposed to others for three reasons: HP's reputation, printing and scanning wirelessly using Bluetooth, and printing CDs. For my pains I got a computer that (1) has only a Windows...

Nothing new to add, but wanted to thank you again. For the first time I had a real NEED to scan something today, and it worked like a charm. Thanks for helping us get this fixed.

Delete and re-add the printer in the print queue: - Sys Prefs, Print & Fax - Select the printer in question and click the minus sign at the bottom of the list - Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer with Bonjour next to it, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it. If this does not work, do the same thing, only instead of the second step, right (...

I know this printer was never officially supported for the Mac, but it's obviously worked fine for many with the 1022 Series Driver. I assume there is going to be a 1022 driver for Snow Leopard. When it is released, it would be awfully nice if it just happens to work with the 1020, just like the original version of the 1022 driver did. I think it would be understood that this would ...

I am also pissed with the same kind of problem. I have F4280 all in one printer. This printer was working properly on Mac OSX but ever since i have upgraded my os to snow leopard version, its scanning function has stopped. It says an unknown error occured.
