You are talking about the software for your printer. What is the model number of your printer? You can do a search on the HP web site for the printer and download the software.

Shankris, I believe that the memory is being shared with the system's Integrated Video'.  What program are you using to get the amount of memory?  You might want to try  Everest Home  to see what it says.   Right now, I am using Everest and it shows that I have 2046MB of which 958MB is used and 1088MB is free.

The old Windows XP operating system is really not supported on the HP Pavilion Elite M9600t and is not optimized to run multi-core CPUs.  I would recommend installing Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade  and then download the free Windows XP Mode .

You went back from XP to ME... when most of the world is going to 7... pretty cool   If I were you, I'd download the XP driver from HP's website - I know it says it's for XP. When you run it, and you accept the license aggreement it will store a bunch of stuff in your temp file (%temp%). Open your temp folder and the latest folder that the download created. You'll find an INF file ...

Charles, while I have tried IE8, which seems to work fine on my computer, I still use Firefox 3.5.  I have been using it for many years without any problems.  I suggest uninstalling IE8 through the Control Panel and installing IE7 or continue using FF.  Also, I have been using Google Chrome on a test basis.  It seems to be a very good browser, also.  I have had no problems with it, ...

Any news on this problem yet? I have the exact same problem, on a HP Compaq Presario machine straight out of the box! The health check gets stuck and needs to be closed by windows. (And it is not hindered by the firewall). Additionally, upon first shutdown, Windows 7 complained that the HP software (advisor, dock, support assistant, I do not remember which) required something "no ...

Simplest solution: Go to BIOS and change the storage configuration from RAID to IDE.     If you want a challenge: Load the RAID driver instead using the Windows XP boot load option (F6, i believe). You would need a floppy or cd-rom disk with the Intel ICH9 storage driver inf / sys / cat file extracted and direct the OS to get the driver from there.

Try this for starters, you don`t need to download it as it is already on your computer ,you just have to know how to access it. Go to programs and features in control panel, click on it and open it.On the left hand side you will see "Turn windows features on or off".Open that and scroll down to Microsoft net framework 3.5.1 and tick the relevant boxes next to it.Then your computer will ...

Elchucko, your problems seem to never end.  What a guy!    I checked everywhere that I could for new software.  However, there doesn't appear to be any at this point.  Is the PMD made by HP or is there another manufacturer shown?  If there is you could check their website.  If it is made by HP, then, I guess patience is a virtue.
