Problem with IP35E
Published (2009-11-11 15:56:00)
please post full system specs. & describe what you consider a 2nd boot problem. If you completely power off any P35 mobo (other than an IP35 Pro where uGuru seems to take this over) it will always boot twice on restart - it's due to the way that the chipset works as it sets the strap.

Sadly, even with the drive up and running before I switch the PC on it's still not detected in the BIOS or in Windows

BIOS updates for Intel E0...
Published (2009-11-06 21:10:00)
Hello guys. This is my first post on this forum, so don't go hard on me. Today I changed my E5200 M0 for an E8400 E0. Works fine, but iI discovered that there are some submenus missing from my BIOS, like the EIST option and the CPU Multiplier. I have the IP35 board, with BIOS 18, works fine @ 400x9, 1.25V CPU VID, but when I crank it up to FSB450 it freezes in Prime95 instantly, even with 1.35V. I read there is a 18 Beta BIOS for this...

E4600 on IP35 Pro XE?
Published (2009-11-08 12:05:00)
Hi Anyone else overclocked an E4600 (M0) on an IP35 Pro XE? Just wondering what overclocks have been acheived and with what voltage settings. It seems mine is at 3.2ghz; vcore being 1.435. This seems a tad high to me. CPU VTT is 1.27 (from 1.20) and MCH is 1.31 (from 1.25). With the FSB at 266, does the latter two voltage settings affect anything? RAM is OCZ PC2-6400 ReaperX HPC, running at 2.1v at 5-5-5-15 at 1:2 ratio, resulting in 1066mhz....

it's not an abit problem though, it's an nVidia chipset one e.g. a Q6600 works very well in the IP35 series because it's a different chipset.

9.0. is usually either power related (inadequate/failing PSU, short etc.) or BIOS related (corrupt, unsupported CPU etc.)

I haven't got an E4600 but I've got an E5300 OCed to 3.6ghz on vcore 1.40v. MCH is 1.29 AFAIK. FSB is at 300 with 12x multiplier and memory running at 3:5 ratio at 1000mhz (crucial ballistix tracers red at 2.0v). I know that this is the limit of my CPU as on my MSI P35 mobo it got to 3.5ghz (269 FSB * 13x)

Just to point out that m704b.bin still doesn't resolve the compatibility issue with 4870x2 cards. Black screen still. I find it quite irritating that your engineers fix one issue without resolving the other.

officially according to Intel ICH9 doesn't support AHCI under XP at least. It can be hacked though & there are guides on the internet.
