It's not illegal, it would just make Microsoft unhappy. Shed a tear and move along.

I agree Saracen. I have be tasked with developing a simple spreadsheet based accounting system with a small business. The business in quesiton is open to switching to OpenOffice, but such a change would involve me learning OOo Macro lanuage, an epic task when I already know, understand, can can code VBA. Considering Office 2007 was an option for the business as well, I opted to use that instead. OpenOffice is great, I like it, but I still...

If it works fine in Vista then I would of expected it to work under 7 as well, but, being frank if your buying a new machine with w7 on it then would you expect somethings not to work? My old man just bought a new machine and I stuck w7 on it, then I had to bin it and put XP back on because his agency software wouldnt work under 7 but would under Vista, but me being me I decided I'd get less ear ache if he was on XP over Vista...

Firefox close button bug
Published (2009-11-11 16:05:00)
Yeah thought so. It's not that much of a big deal since you can minimise/close from the taskbar OK. It also seems to happen randomly so it would be hard to tell if disabling Aero fixed it unfortunately. I had a fair number of tabs open last time it happened so maybe that had something to do with it?

How much memory does the rig you are running it on have? It's possible that it's not actually lieing, that there IS insufficient memory? Let's try the obvious as well, have you tired rebooting? Sometimes as programs run over long periods of time they leak memory. It's unfortunate, but it's a trait of software programing we have to live with, especially if one uses experimental software. ...

I've seen Windows 7 running quite well on recent netbooks which aren't very powerful, so in that sense I wouldn't have thought older hardware would have a problem running it. However, I've had problems trying to install it onto certain older hardware (due to drivers not being updated for Vista and therefore not working on 7 either). I would therefore suggest you find out if there are drivers ...

The option to choose pro is on the next page after having your e-mail address validated IIRC, so i would assume it is on the page after submitting the picture etc. You can do a clean install with both, but with a bit of trickery, i think! link .
