1: No, it really isn't, the price of a new game is vastly different to that of "DLC" 2: It doesn't sound like just aesthetic differences though from what it says. They are saying you need to buy the game several times if you want to be able to use all the weapons. As a console user you might be used to getting shafted, this kind of practice isn't anywhere near as common with PC games, it's a nasty...

Again I'm aware of all this but it still seems a large loss & surely at some point a line must be drawn. Any figures for profit on the PS2? Looking back at something from 2007 I've read the PS3 losses were above the PS2 profits, as this trend has continued for another 2 years from then them's some big numbers!

I wonder what sorts of compression they'll employ. Don't see them distributing BD quality movies in this format, but would it at least be HD?

1: No the price isn't the cost of a new game, its the cost pre-ordering versus buying day one or when it's reduced. So for example if its £35 preorder and reduced day one to £30, a fiver. So the question you have to ask is another set of armor+weapon worth a preorder. Probably not. As for owning them all... 2: Reading the Pre-order bonuses, they describe armor and weaponary that boost stats in certain areas. Just like every other...

The price of these are a joke - and not just a small one either. Its even worse when you consider the WII/PS3/DS/PSP have wireless built in! Anyone would think they didn't want people spending £40 a year on XB live...

Im in two minds, on one hand quite excited (if its even made) but then on the other i agree with cheesemp, in that it might ruin all those great memories on the N64

I've just updated to the latest software. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the up scaling has been improved much at all..
In all honesty, the built-in scaling of my TV (Pioneer KRL-32V) does a much better job of taking the picture to 1080p, however, the UI is much nicer..

Halo anime episodes...? OK the Halo graphic novel was really cool and had some great stuff in there but this is taking franchising a bit too far. This is exactly what I didn't want to happen to my beloved Halo that brought me into playing FPSes and games in general. I guess it was inevitable given how popular it has become, especially with kids...
