HI all! I replaced the STK-392-110's with 150's & now it turns on for a few minutes. I also checked the local resistors & they are fine. Any thoughts?

Okay, folks, I'm not a TV genius here, so please be kind. This is also my first post here. Today, I bought a Panasonic TC-32LX14 at Costco. It came with the same 90-day return policy and 2-year warranty even though it was a floor model. It's in perfect condition. I paid ~$255+tax. Desperately needed to replace a seven-year-old non-HD TV that was making any dark scenes impossible to see. Anyway, after adjusting the audio on this TV,...

Checking the resistors hardly ever works - resistors must be cut to be checked properly and once you have the board out for the ICs, it's always good to replace the appropriate resistors. See the link in post 4 of this thread and read post one of that link carefully and thoroughly, as well as post 5 of this thread, as mentioned above. Here's the link again: http://www.hdtvoice.com/voice/showthread.php?t=28929 It discusses not using...

Three blinks is usually a convergence output failure. May involve fuses and resistors as well.

At a minimum, you should set the TV picture to Standard. If you have the manual, it will tell you how to access the video options. The aspect ratio should be set to 16:9. HD programs are in the 16:9 format. Standard definition programs are in 4:3. Because you are using plasma, those programs should be set to 16:9 to further reduce the chance of burn in. If you have an HDMI cable, I...

If the colours are lined up and the picture is bowed, perhaps the convergence ICs are OK, but the convergence lines need to be straightened. This is usually done in the manual convergence using an overlay or strings taped to the TV screen at the correct points. You then line up the green CRT to the strings/overlay and then converge the blue and red to the green. This can take some time - a ...

Well... if someone could throw me a bone on this...I don't know if lack of responses is a "Geez, didn't this idiot read the threads?" or if no one has any suggestions. I DID read all the convergence threads and removed and resoldered everything I replaced 3 times now and am confident it's all good connections. I talked to a reputable electronics shop who said that pretty much if it's not ...
