QUOTE(WOOLYPHAZER @ Nov 30 2009, 09:39 PM) 0W30 Mobil One after 1500 miles I thought about using mobile one but the lack of zinc in their oil concerned me so I'm going to stick with yamalube for now. I sent an email to mobile stating my concerns about the lack of zinc and asked if they could recommend a mobile oil that is safe for 4 stroke snowmobile engines. Lets see if I get a response.

Fuel caddies or Trail tank?
Published (2009-11-23 12:42:00)
QUOTE(philo @ Nov 23 2009, 12:12 PM) just bought the xtx and from what i understand most get 140 miles out of a tank so i'm not concerned, how much more would you need? From what I've read on here and totallyamaha it looks like people are getting on average from 90-100 miles which really isn't much. It's about what the older sleds get, but what I fear is that all my buddies are running brand new Doos which...

Fuel caddies or Trail tank?
Published (2009-11-23 17:05:00)
Just bought a 2010 xtx so I can't say what it gets mpg, but sounds like most everyone is 90-110 miles per tank. that won't cut it up north so i bought a trail tank to put on right away. Yes its more money but ask your self do you really want something strapped on the back that will be in the way, might leak, might get stolen, that you will have to stop and fill up anyway cause you can't go far. Your buddies are still gona bitch...

This has been discussed extensively on TY. Yamaha lube 0w30 and amsoil 0w40 seem to be the preferred oils.
