Simply a guess but have you checked over the carb boots? I'd make sure they're tight and crack free. If there are cracks, you'd be getting too much air and the same could be said if they are tightened down to the carbs well. Also make sure you installed the slides into the carbs correctly and that the choke is seated properly in each carb too. I know I've installed the choke cable into ...

if you stay with a single than your ok for the most part just unplug you
ethanol switch and you may need to change a weight of the primary clutch or some springs just do whatever the pipe manufacture recommends if you were to go with a twin pipe setup you would need a boondocker box
