so if I uninstall the TMT3 software I have now, and install the TMT3 software from the Asus site, I will be able to keep my video doing what it is ( GPU>HDMI>TV ) and still be able to put out the Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD over analog?

sonar XFi windows 7 issues

First and formost, exactly which card do you have? From you're post, could either by the DX or older D1...(or maybe its the SupremeXfi?) The Xonar D1/DX is not an Xfi chipset; like the rest of the Xonar line, you get EAX 1 and 2 fully supported, and EAX 5.0 emulation via GSDX. The SupremeXfi is a Xfi chipset, but only supports up to EAX 4.0. Also, the only drivers you should need are the drivers for the card; onboard drivers not...

5.1 digital out windows 7

Even a game that does support Dolby Digital 5.1 still wont output AC3 over SPDIF, i tryed with my old Creative one, before getting the Asus Xonar D2. All games need either a soundcard with Dolby Digital Live or DTS Connect to output 5.1 over a digital cable.

GhostXL, I have an Auzen X-Fi HTHD and a Essence ST. The X-Fi games better. Runs smoother, plus, there are compatibility issues with Asus's GX and some games. For gaming, X-Fi is still better.

Well after a very long waiting the Auzen X-Fi Prelude card is out from Auzentech which is centered around the X-Fi audio processing chipset from Creative..
So many people predicted that this card will be better than the X-FI from Creative as it combines both the best of the gaming world and the best of music world (inherited from the X-Meridian).

Does your computer even recognize the device before you try installing the drivers (it should say unknown multimedia device in Device Manager)? If it doesn't take out you get your card and get some nail polish or rubbing alcohol and clean the PCI contacts. Reset the card in your PCI slot (maybe even try a different slot), and see what happens.
