It's self installing so it's straight forward. I suggest when you install it you go into the options menu and disable Java Updater and also disable the option to store temp files on your Hard Drive. Also it may be a good idea to uninstall whatever it was that you installed thinking it was Java...

I deleted those two emails guys, as I don't think it's a good idea to post them publicly in a forum. Just send them in a PM to CharlieSimon instead.

Ok, windows 7 stops searching at 80% and does nothing and won't work, DVBViewer only finds 6 BBC channels and nothing else, as does some other software I tried, why don't they just make it like a TV?

If you've had both drivers installed, it would be even weirder that they didn't conflict. I remember one time I updated my BIOS,and the onboard reset as the default.I had all kinds of problems until I fingered out what happened. Anyway, try that, and please report back if that fixed it or not. BTW, welcome to the forum.

Already got it yesterday, icons don't look as good, the file menu has turned into a tab. MS Publisher looks like the others programs now too. It's not as pretty as Office 2007. It seems with Win 7 and office the interface of programs is going backwards.

I think it's coming from having both sound card, and on board drivers.I'd uninstall both, then pick one or the other, and reinstall the appropriate driver. Also if you go the card route, make sure on board is disabled in your BIOS.

What did you do when you had those spikes?
You could use Everest ( http://www.lavalys.com/ ) to check the same temp sensors with a different tool, for example.

You could just go into windows update & simply remove the IE8 upgrade then see if the prob still exists. You can always re-install IE8 at anytime. If that fixes the prob then its a prob with the program & IE8. There may be a fix around it this would simply let you know IE8 is the prob and needs tweaking.
