What does Springfield say? I don't know about their
XDs, but they don't recommend it on 1911 with less than 5" barrel. It has to do with slide speed, timing, reliability, etc.

wait till you have put a few hundred rounds and see if that helps. right now the spring is putting a lot of pressure backwards and after a few hundred rounds its easyer to rack and which should make it easyer to push the
lock down.
personally i say give it about 300 rounds

Welcome to G&G.
You may get some varied remarks about the Llama but take'em with a

NIIICE!
Except for that scope mount thing, I would be afraid of snaggint it on a
twig and twisting the whole thing off... looks like it's ready for a red-dot.

Sadly, I think you are right. I've been poking around on their website a lot lately trying to decide on a purchase myself, and I'm pretty sure all their stainless 1911's are 5" I think a stainless GI w/ 4" barrel would be sweet!
anyway, maybe try dropping them a line via e-mail. sales@springfield-

or customshop@springfield-armory.com
