They are certainly fun guns! Easy to use, a breeze to clean with the
polygonal rifling. I like mine. Here is a pic. I stripped the black finish off. Mechanically sound, but aesthetically it wasn't so great. Black finish on it was all chipped here and there. I was going to blue it, but it looked so good like this, I cancelled that process Mine came from J&G.

If you add a
muzzle brake to the barrel the gun will be very long, it is already quite lengthy.... why not have it Magnaported?

Hello, has anyone placed an order to this place called zahal.org?
It looks to be an Israeli based company and I just wanted to see if they were legit because they have some pretty good deals on VZ 58 parts.
Also, curious if you guys are familiar with any of these following parts there:
-Fab defense
pistol grip
-the Handguard with 4 rails for vz
-...

Been here before, and like before, I would have worries about excessive chamber/barrel erosion.
Plus there really is no need to soup up this cartridge anyways. It is hot enough.

I could never justify paying better than
half of what I paid for a gun for grips. a match bbl or trigger work maybe but not for cosmetics. just me the cheapskate.

How do you know the vintage of your
CZ52? I have one with all matching parts but don't know how to interpret the ser# or any of the stamps. Do you? Thanks!

I believe you will need to get it chambered for the 9mm makorov case,it will then need to be fitted into the barrel mount, extractor groove cut,and the bullet
head-space set. No your not crazy it could be done.....but how much are you willing to spend? This will cost more than the pistol, perhaps way more.

They are indeed strong pistols. from the amount of
machining work it took to make them, if they were sold new today they would probably cost well over $1000. I saw load data for a saboted .224 55gr. bullet (named the .223 Timbs) I forget the actual velocity but it was over 2000 fps. never heard of the "reed express" but it sounds interesting!
